I Bought This Phone Two Years Ago To Replace An Ol

I bought this phone two years ago to replace an old Nokia. My first impressions were that it was pretty small and not bad looking. When I got to use it I found it really easy and there was no need for the instruction manual at all. What does interest me about this phone is that it seems to be completely indestructible!!! I have thrown it at people dropped from the 2nd floor onto concrete and still nothing. I have even left it out in the snow for four days and it still goes fine, except it has no sound. However it seems to be getting a little slow now. I was told that I had been sent a few texts by the same person at around 7pm but I didn't get them until 3:30am. Neither of us were impressed. All in all, it's a great little phone but I am going to have to replace it.

Sent My Phone Back To Samung After Six Months As M

Sent my phone back to Samung after six months as microphone wasn't working.

They reported that it had liquid damage and was beyond economical repair. Also wanted £17.50 to return it. Sounds like an easy way to get out of repairing phones under guarantee to me as I'm sure phone never came into contact with liquid.

The Samsung Sgh-e330 Mobile Phone Is A Really Good

The Samsung SGH-E330 mobile phone is a really good, easy to use phone. It has everything I wanted in a phone and more; but make sure if you really want this phone, that you go into a shop and try it out for yourself, because what I think is a good phone may not be a good phone for you, but I love this phone. It is the best mobile phone I have ever had. I have had it for over 6 months and it still works like brand new. The battery life is very good, but as I use it non-stop, I need to charge it once or twice a week.

I Had The Samsung E330 Mobile Phone For Almost 12

I had the Samsung E330 mobile phone for almost 12 months. I really liked it. I think it is a very attractive phone to have. It is set out in a very basic way though, so if you get bored easily, like me, it's probably not the best phone to have. It doesn't seem to have much memory, so will only store so many pictures and polyphonic ringtones. There is no Bluetooth function on this phone either, which I feel lets it down. Had there been Bluetooth and more memory, it would have been a more popular phone I think.

I Got This Phone Because My Phone Broke. I

I got this phone because my phone broke.

I bought it on orange pay as you go, and put my sim card in the phone because I am on a contract. This phone cost me £55, and it is wonderful.

It is very easy to use, and the camera is very good for a phone camera.

If you are after a good reliable phone that is cheap, and does the basics, look no further!

As with most samsungs, I have found the battery life is very low. It lasts about 3 to 4 days fully charged, before you need to charge it again.

I Have Only Had My Samsung E330 Phone For A Day An

I have only had my Samsung E330 phone for a day and I am really not impressed. When you write a text message, you have to select the predictive mode each time which is extremely annoying, also when you add a word to the library it is entered in capitals so you have to change it to lower case each time.

Also, there is a screen on the front of the phone which has a clock etc on, but this times out after about 10 seconds so there is hardly any point in it even being there!

I also think that the settings are very basic and you get a lot more options on other phones.

But if you are looking for quite a basic phone with a camera of standard quality then this is it. But if you like to text and use a phone quite a lot I wouldn't go with this one.

I've personally had no problems with texting, except when saving words, the caps thing is a bit annoying.

about the timing out go to:

menu> phone settings> display> backlight

you can change the time.

The E330 Is My First Clam Shell And First Samsung.

The E330 is my first clam shell and first samsung. I am impressed. Luckily most the phones I have had have been good (although I've not always had a good network!). This company comes second to Nokia in my option!

The camera is good, with zoom, effects, frames and other features. When the phone is close you can take a picture of yourself with a friend easily, as the image cames up on the front screen.

Predictive text is good but not as good as Nokias, but if you use this phone all the time you will get used to it. (I also use a Nokia, so I can get a bit confused!)

There is no infrared, nor bluetooth so if I wanted to copy stuff from my phone to my computer I would need to buy a cable.

This phone is small and attractive, with all the usual features. It is fairly easy to use. With the expection of IR/bluetooth, what else could you ask for in a phone like this?

I look forward to owning another Samsung. (Maybe the e720)

I Am Used To Nokia And Sonyericsson. Never Had A F

I am used to Nokia and SonyEricsson. Never had a flip phone before. Like the Samsung E330, but have to get used to its really small size. Everything works perfect, my girlfriend can use it without ever reading the manual. Pictures taken by the phone are average, but better than most Nokia's.

The screen is great, and the overall build quality and feel of the materials used is better than SonyEricsson T310 and T610. Buy this Samsung if you want a small phone with adequate functions, not if you like gadgets, then go for SE S700i.

This Latest Dual Band E-series Phone From Samsung

This latest dual band E-series phone from Samsung is definitely not going to set the world on fire but it does have some redeeming features AND bearing in mind that you can probably get it for free on contract or about £160-£180 sim-free, you should see plenty of people using it during 2005.

Finished in 'warm silver' this Samsung flip phone features two 65K UFB colour screens with the external one showing the usual time, battery condition and signal strength in standby. This display also doubles as a view finder when taking self portrait shots with the phones VGA camera and shows a photo (if they're number is stored in the phone) of the incoming caller. Above this display is the camera lens and below it is the E330's flash LED. This handset uses Samsungs built-in 'Intenna' so its attractive oval shape is not spoilt in any way. Something that will appeal to the female buyer I think.

Inside the 330 has a well spaced and responsive keypad but it does feel a bit 'cheap' when using it for texting. The internal screen is 128 x 160 pixels and has the usual Samsung quality appearance. The menu layout and OS is easy to use and will be familiar to users of older Sammy's. The E330 uses 40 polyphony ringtones which are pretty clear but the choice is still appalling. I can never find one that I wouldn't be ashamed of in a crowded pub. New ones can be downloaded for free from the Samsung fun website but it would be nice if the software boys gave us Europeans something a bit different. The bing-bong bing-bong confirmation tones are still there too AND you can't switch them off on this handset! Really annoying!

Texting on the 330 is a pleasure thanks to (nearly) full T9 predictive texting. The system can learn, and store new words and longer words move onto a new line instead of scrolling down. However you still have to manually select upper and lower case and there is no auto capitalisation. Nokia users beware!

The 330's camera is a 640 x 480 max resolution VGA type and is OK for storing pics in the phone book or sending MMS messages but I don't think you will be printing any off to send to aunty in Australia. You can have fun with it though with a good choice of effects and frames available in the menu's. There is 9Mb of dynamic memory available in the E330 so you can store quite a few images or downloaded games and ringtones. WAP 2.0 with GPRS is available for those wanting to check the closing prices on the stock exchange and the 330 has two pre-installed java games for those long train journey's home. Bearing in mind that this is a lower/mid range handset it would have been nice to see at least an infra-red port included, but alas, there is nothing. If you want to swap images or sounds the only option is through MMS etc. There is however a voice recorder provided for those moments of inspiration and the usual selection of calendar reminders, stop watch, calculator, converter and alarm clock.

Call wise the E330 was very good with excellent volume and clarity and the 'Intenna' seemed to hold onto the signal pretty well even in known 'dodgy' signal area's. The speakerphone was a pleasure to use and this handset also has a feature called 'voice clarity' which uses the phones microphone to sense when you are in a noisy environment and increases the speaker volume accordingly. Works well too!

I can't help thinking that the E330 is a bit like a T100 without the aerial but with a camera! It's not of course, but it does leave you wanting a bit more from this stylish looking handset. 'Functional' is the word that sums up the E330. It does what it says on the box, but I can't fall in love with it. See what you think!

Thanks, scarborian, I'm one of those females you imagine this phone would appeal to, and you're right. I've seen and felt it (wired to the wall, of course) in a local phone shop - neat, lightweight, classy-looking (IMO) and with no sticky-out bits. I don't want a singing and dancing phone, just one that makes and receives calls and sends texts well. I understand that "no infra-red" doesn't mean it won't be able to be unlocked eventually, when the contract runs out? From what you've said I shall have to have a demo to decide if I can live with the ring-tones and bing-bongs - I've never had a Samsung (except a decent quality telly). Thanks again!
