Bought At Auction For £2200. Ex Police Car W
Bought at auction for £2200. Ex police car with 48k on the clock, resprayed white, turbo, intercooler, powercross airflow induction, straight through exhaust,Remapped by V.I.S. extra 30% BHP and 78% tourque.17" wheels.0 to 60 in 6.7 secs.
Fuel consumption is in the 60s if I don't race it.Went from Liverpool to Aston Birmingham and back on less than 1/2 tank.
Only small point is that my fishing gear is a little tight getting it in.

Was Given The Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel From A Fri
was given the Vauxhall corsa 1.7 diesel from a friend for doing some work had been sat for 8 months and still started first turn of the key.
for mot i had to do the wear and tear items of the brakes fitted new front disks and new pads and also new rear shoes. cost of parts for this car is very cheep and i am well happy with it.
with it being red it suffers with the pink paint but a buffer and some g3 rubbing compound and will look like new again.
keep the car well undersealed esp around the back springs and it will look after you. not sure what the mpg is but i belive 50 to 60mpg.
it broke down on me once and had to be pushed out the mot station but it had passed the starter had decided it had not wanted to play ball but from local scrap yard for £20

I Find The Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel Overall A Goo
I find the Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel overall a good little car - just change oil + filter (fuel one also) on a regular basis - and will go on and on. In my experience it has a great little unburstable basic engine (mines done 165k without dismantle. Most spares can be obtained from motor-factors (way cheaper).

I'll Start By Pointing Out The Main Plus Point Of
I'll start by pointing out the main plus point of the Vauxhall Corsa: The fuel consumption is excellent, I can do Leeds-Scarborough and back on less than 15 quid, which is amazing, also the standard fit speakers are good (with a good quality head unit, not the standard Vauxhall one) and the clutch is nice and light. Also, it was cheap at 500 quid with a full MOT and 88K on the clock for an S-reg, and except for a handbrake cable and a clutch, which cost little to fix as i repaired them myself, it has been faultlessly reliable.
Problems are, I've owned it for 6 months due to not being able to afford to run a Vauxhall Frontera Sport 2.0 anymore, and the rest of it is terrible in my opinion! Performance is non existent (0-60 in 20 or so seconds), the noise (engine, banging shocks, whining gearbox, rattling trim) is abysmal, the handling is awful(no grip, miles of understeer due to heavy isuzu diesel engine, wheelspin in the wet, pulls right under power), and im getting tired of bits of dashboard falling off on mine!
I wouldnt recommend one, i'd have to say a Polo or a 106 would have been a much better buy.

Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel Is An Overall Great Car,
Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel is an overall great car, looks good, drives like a dream and can even fit my golf clubs and shopping in the boot! It's easy to park, even in the tightest of supermarket spaces. Great on fuel, £40 to fill the tank and lasts 2 weeks, usually doing more than 500 miles a fortnight. Quick off the mark, feels very safe motorway driving and sometimes even leaves the big boys' cars behind!! My husband loves this car, even though he's over 6 ft, he still feels comfortable. Only one thing has ever gone wrong with this car, the gear selector went after 63k, cost £90 to replace so not too bad.

Well I Thought As I Previously Owned A Diesel Cors
Well I thought as I previously owned a diesel Corsa this would be fine, but at 22Kmls it has been hell. Spend more time in garage than on the road. Vauxhall have failed this time. Oh and too much plastic and lack of cd, there are far better cars for your money.

I Have Owned The Vauxhall Corsa For 2 Years Now An
I have owned the Vauxhall Corsa for 2 years now and no problems at all. The 1.7 diesel engine goes for ever and run at about 50-55 mpg. I would recommend this car to anyone as a second car or a couple with up to 2 children (as the interior is small). Although it's a small car it feels safe to travel on the motorway and holds the road well.

Using This Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel Car As A Driv
Using this Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel car as a driving school car is excellent on fuel (50-53mpg). As a driving school car this car isn't always driven the way a car should be driven and as such has taken a fair bit of abuse and handled it well. The car retired in March 05 and has been idle in my garage for 4-5 weeks and still starts first time.
All in this is an excellent car that performs well, the only major fault was the steering pump. I've replaced the car and now have a Hyundia Getz...largely because of price and the 5 year unlimited mileage warranty available from Hyundia.

My Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel Is Only 2 Years Old Y
My Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel is only 2 years old yet from about day 5 I wished I'd never bought it.
I've always had Vauxhalls and they've always been great until this one.
Suspension went within a month and then again 6 weeks later, bits were falling off from day one, window switches were not attached and fell out on first use, stereo didn't work and needed replacing, adjustable mirrors didn't adjust, just stuck. It creaks.... no-one knows why.. maybe its just the bad one in the lot.
I bought a new car because I thought It would be more reliable... not.. its spent more time in the the garage than any of my olders cars.. its a banger for me again next year!
I'm only givng it 2 stars as it always starts and the air con is great.

The Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel Is A Great Little Se
The Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Diesel is a great little second car mine is white with colour coded bumpers, has done 130,000 but I know this engine can do over 200,000 as I know peoples who have (Isuzu engine). Cheap on fuel, cruises nicely at 90 and top speed of 115 (mph) down hill. My starter motor blew twice costs £20 from scrap which I bought if I had bought brand new I was told £120 (trade price without fitting). Thats the only problem I have had and it has done some miles. Obviously it needes regular servicing e.g oil change & filter and new cambelt. Will be selling soon as I want a coupe, maybe a Toyota Celica GT?
Q&A
