Lego Star Wars Is A Highly Addictive Game With A G
Lego star wars is a highly addictive game with a gripping storyline and levels that actually make you think. This is what I think makes this game so addictive, the challenges that you face in each level increases your awareness in the level of little things that may be of importance, eg some Lego bricks or an android panel. The one thing I would change about the game would be to make it a little more grown up as you might say. At times the game is silly and it becomes childish. My favourite level by far in the game is the Jedi fight in episode two. Every time I play this I think how have they taken this from the star wars movie and turned it into Lego?
In conclusion I think this is a game that's worth buying and it will certainly entertain any audience (that's if they are interested in Lego and Star Wars (a weird combination i know)). So if you're looking to buy a game, wait and remember to read this review before you do as you may waste your money! I hope this has been informative for you - enjoy!

As Veteran User Of Lego And An Avid Star Wars Fan
As veteran user of Lego and an avid Star Wars fan I have to admit I was enthralled with Lego Star Wars. The missions are a real challenge and its great to use your favourite Star Wars characters in this original lego format.
All your favourites are on this game, Obi Wan, Mace Windu, Darth Vader, Yoda and co all pop up to brighten up this game.
Other great bonuses include that this film mirrors the new Revenge of the Sith film, so skilled gamers, such as myself, have a great chance to find out what is going to happen in that film by completing this exciting video game.
I loved this game and it has really got me in the mood for the films release on May 19th....now where did I put that double ended light saber?????

The First Thing That Has To Be Mentioned Is That I
The first thing that has to be mentioned is that I played Lego Star Wars (PC version) at my friends house and the PS2 version looks identical but controls better due to it's coding for a console. It is defiantly the prettiest game I have ever seen on the PS2 so far and that includes Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution. There is a part where there is a waterfall on Naboo and it is just mind boggling to look at. I was just blown away by the amount of detail on each little Lego brick that makes up what everything is in this little world.
The game starts as Dex's Diner from Episode II, and then you can pick where you want to go from there. Start on Episode I Chapter I. After that you can skip to either II or III. There are five to six chapters per episode to go through. After a chapter is finished then all the real fun starts. There is a mode called free play that lets you go back and finish the chapters all proper like. As you finish them you gain characters, and some are purchasable from Dex. There is a currency that you collect in game called studs that lets you buy things. The funnest part is the free play to get something called Jedi Status on all the levels. If you get all the studs you get that status and it opens up the darked door next to Episode III. I won't spoil the fun with what it is or who the last four characters are but it's going to be worth it to see for yourself.
Infinite lives are a nice feature here, but there is a penalty for dying. For example General Grevious is 200,000 studs. Every time I fall off a ledge I lose 1,000 studs, and every time my four hearts deplete and I break into my Lego components I lose 2,000 studs. So in effect dying a lot will not help me buy that four lightsaber wielding General. The good news is that I spawn again instantly and furthermore if I'm fast I can grab that blue stud my death produced and get 1,000 back. I think this is a good part of the game really. I like the infinite lives and the penalties for dying. By time I was done with Jango Fett I had not one stud left and got a big fat zero for my efforts. That is justice for poor play if I have ever seen it.
Now there is a two player mode as well. A second player can drop in at any time and play the set character if player one is in story mode, or any one the set available characters in free play. The deal there is I choose one character in free play and then there are a bunch more that go with that character. The possibilities are limitless and there is a reason for this. Some characters can do certain things others can't and this makes it necessary to have a bunch of different kinds to finish the game completely. So the second person can come and go at will and not disrupt the game flow one bit.
I think what I like the most about the game is the absolute fun factor and the fact that it loads so fast I want to cry. The whole game is squished on a CD amazingly enough and for my four-year-old PS2 the game from power on to loaded is about thirty seconds. Most games take at least three to four minutes now. There is also the force push and how I love to just throw things all over the screen or to just fight the character I am running around with just for giggles.
Now here are a few funny details about the game in general and some pet peeves. Outside the diner all the characters I have collected or bought fight each other in a good vs. evil ordeal. I have not checked on the clone troopers since they turned on the Jedi yet but I will next boot up (since this was written the clones now attack the Jedi). Also there are a few places that if you use the Force you can jam to the original cantina music. There is also a slight cheat, if you go outside the diner and destroy the garbage cans you get a blue stud worth 1,000, and there are two vents that you can use to Force on to get 2,000 more studs.
OK here are some pet peeves in no order: one is during the final cut scene in Episode I Darth Maul still has his double blade as Obi-Wan hangs on to that shaft; in the movie it was down to one blade after Obi-Wan cut it in half after the death of his master. My second pet peeve isn't really a pet peeve but more like something I noticed as I was playing. Obi-Wan is kind of stupid in all of Episode I and that really wasn't the case in the movie but it's very minor and these things do not take away from the game at all. Oh yeah, I need to mention the controls and they are great on foot no more like outstanding on foot, the flying controls are a little awkward but very learn able, the pod-race just flat out stinks (that is the worst part of the entire game) and lastly the flying mission in Episode II is loose and a little hard at first but again it's doable.
I want to mention the sound really fast then I will give my final scores. It is amazing. The lightsabers are just phenomenal sounding with the bzzz and the snaps and crackles. The phasers are perfect and all the other sounds. The music never gets in the way and is always perfect to the amount of action on the screen. I love the music the most out of all the sounds. Overall the game is short with a lot of replay value to crush it like the maggot it is. Plus it's really freaking fun. My young Padawon you must learn from the Dark Side and spend the $39.99 and get this game.

Lego Star Wars Game Is Very Simple. It's Not Surpr
Lego Star Wars game is very simple. It's not surprising based on the developer. They've made some lousy games and some pretty under-rated games. Games like the new Crash Bandicoot and Spyro(both suck). And games like the oldie but goodie Haven (which has the worst ending because there is no sequel). They shot for little children and nailed it. This game is insanely easy and childish but since I'm very immature I loved every second of it... plus episode three spoilers!
