Video Quality And Ease Of Use Are Great Camera Was

Video quality and ease of use are great camera was a bargain

However, the sound gets interference when plugged in to tv difficult to set date and time.

All in all the JVC GR-D33EK is a good camera really as someone else said use of extention sockets and leads has usb socket so far not been able to get the lead anywhere.

I Have To Disagree With Previous Reviewer. I Bough

I have to disagree with previous reviewer. I bought the JVC GR-D33EK digital camcorder as a back-up to a much more highly-rated (and expensive) Canon MV 650i. The Canon has suffered multiple problems (black screen, destroying tapes, poor picture quality), while the trusty (but cheap) JVC has taken over as the first choice (albeit with sound dubbed over). The picture quality is good in all light conditions, but the excessive motor noise drowns out any decent sound (and no external mic socket).

All-in-all, it is a great little camera for the price.

Where Can I Start, I Thought That The Price Of The

Where can I start, I thought that the price of the JVC GR-D33EK might herald a good start into digital camcording. However once opened I was disappointed that no AV lead was supplied when the packaging indicated all was supplied to get you started. The autofocus hunts too much and any movement by the user leads to unfocused footage even with the stabilising set on.

I think, however, that the worst part of this unit is the ability to shoot in all light levels. If the light level falls you might as well leave the camcorder at home. Even shooting inside requires the use of the 'night mode'. The backlight is insufficient and this unit is only for the absolute beginner who only intends shooting in sunny conditions.

I bought this unit to replace an ageing 8 mm unit, and was surprised to find that this newer model was not equipped with a remote facility. Even the older 8 mm model was equipped with such a device. Away on holiday it meant that one of the family had to operate the camera so group shots meant the embarrassing role of someone setting it off then running into shot?

Put bluntly this unit is not worth anything and is definitely one of the worst buys I have made.
