Worst Company Ever

If I was never have any dealings with currys again it would be too soon, if Icould give them a minus score I would. Absolute worst customer experience of my life, they were asked repeatedly by myself to get in contact to deal with my laptop which I purchased from them in October, I am still waiting for someone to actually contact me as I had to do all the phoning, emailing, being put through to the wrong department and the wrong people. The issue was never resolved even though it was their fault, they took no accountability and palmed me off with manufacturing issues, so I am now sitting here with a £500 laptop which is completely useless. I have never experienced such bad service in my life and I promise, never willingly to step foot in a currys store or purchase anything from them ever again and I urge you as a customer to stay away and purchase from anywhere else but currys.

Don’t Order Online

I ordered a laptop for my daughter.

They delivered a random printer.

I have lost hours trying via their offshored customer service team who aren’t able to solve anything they are just a service to log problems that don’t then get followed up. I wrote to the CEO and got a similar response from his office that the issue has been logged.

What a shambles, a very basic lack of controls and accuracy in their warehouse. It must be utter chaos if they can’t do the basics of inventory management.

Avoid!

Ruined My Floor Now 2k Out Of Pocket

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Why can’t I do minus stars

Why can’t I do minus stars? Honestly they damaged my wooden floor on delivery. Didn’t expect much just like a sorry and maybe gift voucher but no it’s been horrendous experience asking to provide this and that get a quote ok we need another quote oh this quote is not broken down enough as just says sand and re apply laquer and then apply top coat but what does that actually mean. The company are horrendous! You damage my stuff and I’ve got to do all chasing and what I do is not good enough! Never found something so challenging at all. £2000 to repair my floor now, not even a £50 gift voucher or anything thanks Curry’s joke of a company. Do not use or get an item delivered!

Lg Oled Evo G65 Tv Faulty

LG OLED TV G65 ordered & collected from store, however faulty, Currys wouldn't collect, mis sold the extra warrantee, as assured if a problem they would exchange without quibble, UNTRUE. I have to return faulty TV 20 miles, as it was not delivered to me initially, had it been delivered they would collect faulty TV. Having spoken to 3 departments each have given me different information, have been told the problem is purchasing from store and not online! will be taking further as disgusting customer service. When spending so much money and just 15 days old this should have been exchanged without quibble and without hassle and extra expense to the customer. Also refused to give me email address to complain. I will ensure I spend my money elsewhere in future. I would have liked to have been informed that when you purchase in store if the product is faulty you will need to return to store as Currys won't collect (65" screen) so will need to hire a van to return. Will buy same product from different company and will not come back to currys after this experience, terrible customer service. Unable to contact the store directly, reliant on a 0344 number. Could Not Be Bothered

I feel the need to inform you of the poor customer service I received at your kings Lynn branch yesterday evening, i hope that somebody cares more than the two members of staff did in your shop.

I had looked on your website along with other retailers and decided on currys to purchase a new Samsung television.

On entering the shop and making my way over to the area of the televisions it was hard to see which television was the model i was interested in purchasing as like quite a few they were not switched on and had blank black screens, and as the information of the product is displayed on the screen this was obviously impossible for me locate it.

I looked around to find a shop assistant or advisor and there were none to be seen (unlike Saturday when we were in the shop to purchase a printer scanner for the business) , but to be fair this is a Wednesday evening so i didn't expect there to be that level of staff, but after a minute or two, two staff members appeared and i approached them, and said i am looking at this particular Samsung TV and showed them the printout i did from your website, to be told " i haven't got that one in stock", not i am sorry i do not have that one in stock ( i ..not we..guess it's his shop) , just "do not stock that one".... brief silence .. so i had to prompt and ask is this an on-line only purchase ? the reply was, we have a different model in stock (quoted a number) to which i replied, "oh is that more expensive" ? his reply..." i think so" , brief pause... well can you show me that model ( thinking well maybe a few pounds more is not the end of the world) he said to the young man who was with him, "take him over and show him it" .

The young man walked over to the TV area, and pointed to a black screen, as this was one of the sets which was not switched on, so naturally I was expecting him to turn the set on so I could see the picture and maybe ask questions on the features etc... not too much to ask from one of your "tech experts" ,as i turned to ask if he could at least switch it on, he had already walked off back to the other member of staff to stand and chat !

I gave him the benefit of the doubt for a moment to see if he was retrieving a remote or asking advice, but no, he had done his job, he had pointed to the TV, albeit a black piece of square plastic !

With that, i left the shop in total amazement on the level of sales drive or assistance from two members of your staff, i have owned and run a successful sales business for many years, and if any of my staff treated any customer with the total lack of care or drive these two displayed i would be completely horrified !

I went to my car, went on line, ordered the exact TV i wanted, drove to Argos, after being greeted with a smile, picked my TV up and drove home.

Maybe the staff members were not really interested because I was only wanting a lower end entry price TV, not a Sony Brava 55" , which I have ! This TV was for my study as the size was an issue due to room for placement, maybe if he knew the money I have spent over the years in your stores and that I have 7 TV's in my properties, he might have been more bothered !

I hope somebody cares more about this than they did, if in future I see Currys closing some stores, I won't be overly surprised if you employ people who lose you business like these two employees, as I will never, I repeat never, enter one of your stores again out of principle.

Never Buy A Tv From Currys

Bought a TV with a 5 year warranty - TV developed a fault a few years in called to book it in - Replied to say you don't have a warranty, after countless calls and emails Currys apologised and agreed I do have warranty. Finally TV gets picked up for repair- came back with a white line at the bottom- Asked to collect again to repair properly.

They returned the TV completely smashed and unusable - after 30-40 calls to the team in South Africa, speaking with approx 10 managers - no calls back - no emails.

Now said sorry we're not repairing or replacing and blaming me for the extensive damage even though I have a docket from collection with the words 'no damage found' Now said you will have to go through third party appeals and they won't do anything.

DO NOT BUY A TV FROM CURRYS.

Misleading Recycling Promise And Poor Customer Service

I recently bought a dishwasher online from Currys, and the experience has been nothing short of appalling. On their website, it clearly stated that free recycling of the old appliance was included with our purchase. We even took a screenshot of this information, which we’ll be uploading with this review to show the misleading claim. However, at checkout, a £25 fee appeared for recycling. We assumed this was an error, so we opted out, expecting the free service as advertised.

To avoid any issues, we called Currys customer service to confirm that the recycling would indeed be free. Unfortunately, instead of assistance, we were met with unhelpful responses and constant runarounds. Their handling of this situation has been utterly disappointing, with a complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction.

We’ve been loyal customers, purchasing our last four appliances through Currys. However, after this experience, I can confidently say we will NEVER buy from Currys again. Their prices aren’t significantly lower than competitors like John Lewis, where you can expect far better service.

We’re also reporting this issue to the ombudsman to highlight Currys' misleading practices. Save yourself the hassle and shop with a company that values its customers and keeps its promises.

Awful Experience And Still Not Resolved

I would give 0 stars if I could. I ordered a washing machine through Curry’s that was delivered a week ago. This new item was faulty and leaks out the bottom of the door. I called to request an exchange and was informed they do not exchange until their repair teams looks to see if they can fix the one that was delivered. This repair person came on Wednesday saying a part was needed and they left saying they’d order it and get back to me. Friday morning I received a text saying that the part is not in stock and they’d message me every 7 days to keep me posted as to when it would be on stock to then book the repair. I called Curry’s again for an exchange and they agreed but said it would take up to 48hrs to receive the exchange number. I waited that time but did not receive the number so called again to request it. Later that day I received the number and called to book an exchange. I was told the earliest they could book me in would be Friday which would mean I would go nearly two weeks with out a washing machine because I was delivered a faulty item. Then when the person tried to book this in they said the system wasn’t allowing the booking so they would need to put forward a manual request and I’ll find out in 48-72hrs the time of my booking but I may not even be Friday now and the other dates available could leave me with a faulty washing machine for nearly 3 weeks before they will exchange.

Called back the following day to be told the same thing and I requested to speak to a higher member of staff and that they will call me back in 24-48hrs.

Currys Cribbs Causeway Great Experience

Best ever experience of Curry’s on a Sunday. Was dreading going to be honest. Buying a washing machine on a Sunday off was not my idea of fun. So it was wonderful to have had such a great and successful trip. Safi could not have been more helpful with his recommendations and detailed knowledge of Currys products. We ended up choosing a different brand and are very happy with it. He threw in some freebies and we got a bargain. Was friendly and kind, then helped us by loading the heavy machine into our car. Well done Currys. Your staff were brilliant today.
