Barclays Travel Insurance

Was robbed of a necklace in Spain .cost £300 new in 1990. Value today about £2000. Barclays said it would only pay on the original purchase price of £300 and minus a excess fee they paid out £250.what a joke have cancelled my travel pack as it's rubbish.dont use Barclays find a travel insurance that does cover the real cost

I had a $12,500 trip that was cancelled due to a last minute physical injury. Only $5500 of the trip was charged to my Barclay's mastercard. So they refused to pay saying the whole trip needed to be on that card. So they would have paid $12,500 more. Crazy and unfair.

My husband and I planned a trip to Hong Kong with our daughter in June this year. We have the travel pack holiday insurance with Barclays underwritten by Aviva.

My daughter had a cancer scare 3 weeks before we were due to depart. She needed surgery to deal with a tumour under her eye. We were in pieces and the holiday had to be cancelled. Surgery had to be done privately, no waiting about for NHS, but good results from subsequent biopsy found no cancer. She needed a skin graft and was told not to fly for some weeks due to air pressure affecting healing.

I was afraid we would not be covered by our travel insurance but Aviva came up trumps. We supplied them with all the documentation and letters from the surgeon.

Apart from the £50 excess and taxes(which the airline refunded) they paid out without a quibble. They were so helpful and understanding when we were really upset and distressed.

As a footnote, our daughter is still waiting for AXA to give her a refund! Shame on you AXA!

Had a travelpack for years, never claimed and always honest about conditions. Phoned on 17th June to inform them of a new condition, guess what, all pre existing conditions not covered now!! They admitted my medical screening was not done correctly.goodness knows what would have happened if I was ill abroad, I'm sure they would have some excuse not to help.

Barclays wrote the wrong name on our policy. They know that they made this mistake and yet refuse to correct it. Our insurance is now invalid as if we needed it, we could not make a claim with the wrong name on the policy, but that hasn't stopped Barclays collecting my monthly payment for the policy! Hours and hours being passed around by customer service has resulted is NOTHING BEING DONE!!!

We had travel disruption with no fault by us - first of all they put all sorts of obstacles in our way to even get the travel pack terms and conditions, then they refused compensation for a spurious reason although we totally proved it wasn't that. We spend weeks compiling a 36 page document then just said Computer says No.

We've been customers for ever and paid the monthly fee for 2 years and this is how we were treated. We're £3,500out of pocket. They are despicable - don't use them and read all the reviews to reveal on all sites to reveal just how bad and dishonest they are.

I will not recommend anyone about this Insurance. This is one of the worst Insurance I have ever experience, Please stay away.

I debated for a long time in travel insurance and finally decided to go with Barclays Bank I am so glad I did family holiday I had a fall and needed survey being in hospital abroad is so different to the uk and and don’t assume hospitals abroad will work with all travel insurance companies the do not I was able to contact Barclays as they have a 24/7 contact they were absolutely fantastic through one of the must difficult times in my life there staff really were fantastic and ensured I could have surgery and bills were paid and rescheduled flights and transport

When your abroad hospitals will demand payments immediately you must have the right Insurace to deal with all this rest assured if you use Barclays travel you will be taking care of if you need them

Provided letters to confirm diagnosis on Monday and insurance paid out on Thursday

Really can’t fault them at all - quick and easy payout in very difficult personal circumstances

I've been with Barclays travel pack for over 15 years and fortunately never had to use the service but on 11/03/23 I had to cancel my holiday due to being positive for coronavirus,I spoke to a agent who was extremely helpful and advised me how to get my money back.after only 4 weeks I had a email saying that I would get my money back within 3/4 working days.FANTASTIC RESULT and would recommend the travel pack insurance to anyone!!!!
