Avoid Integrahost Like The Plague - They Had A Ser

Avoid Integrahost like the plague - they had a server go down and my site was completely lost. There were no backup procedures to recover anything, despite their claim to having top notch equipment and service.

As A Reseller, I Hosted With Integrahost In Decemb

As a reseller, I hosted with IntegraHost in December 2005, paying for a year's worth of hosting in advance (big mistake).

Due to a number of technical and support issues, I chose to cancel my hosting with them in March 2006, with a pro-rated refund as promised when I first signed up with them.

Now it is December 2006, and I have yet to see one cent from them. The completely ignored my phone calls and emails. I even offered to accept a lower amount than what I was due, just so I could get on with life, but that gesture fell on deaf ears as well.

Now IntegraHost is under new ownership, and they refuse to accept any responsibility or offer any assistance.

Lack Of Communication With Customer. Unresponsive

Lack of communication with customer. Unresponsive technical support, and it seems to be getting worse. No response to support tickets, and phone call requests not returned. Biggest problem is a lack of security. My account was hacked, and both of my web sites were hijacked. When I contacted IntegraHost tech support through chat to tell them what had happened, they kept dropping my chat and did nothing to take the sites down. They refused to call me, though I asked them specifically several times in the chat to please call me on the phone. They told me that there was no problem, and all I had to do was upload new html files to replace it. In a panic and not knowing what to do, since I was getting no guidance from tech support, I tried to login to my control panel and change my password. But the hackers had gone into my control panel already and deleted my admin rights. I was then locked out. Fortunately I was able to get help and advice from a friend who is a web manager and the person who does my web maintenance, both of whom advised me to get out of IntegraHost immediately. My web manager recommended a reliable web hosting server, where I opened an account and began the process of moving my domains and rebuilding my sites on the new host.

Get references from friends and colleagues whom you trust as to where to find a reliable web hosting server. IntegraHost is not a bargain. They promise a lot, but deliver very little. Their promise of "24/7 365 support and friendly technicians who walk you through your problems is incorrect.

Plenty Of Support Until You Pay, After That They W

Plenty of support UNTIL you pay, after that they will not respond to emails or support tickets. I tried to cancel my IntegraHost web hosting plan for two weeks, and I received no reply to any emails or support tickets, and found all phone numbers were disconnected. In desperation I called credit card company to put a hold on the account.

There Have Only Been Problems With All Aspects Of

There have only been problems with all aspects of IntegraHost hosting. I tried to cancel the acct within the 14day guarantee and am still waiting. In the meantime, I just received an invoice for another 3 months. While using Live Chat, I was continually asked why I want to cancel and to contact sales. I have, on way too many occasions and am still in the midst of this. The phone line does not work. It keeps bringing you back to a voice menu no matter what you select.

The IntegraHost Support staff are very friendly but unable to actually help anyone. I chose this company because of their Sales staff via a chat box and their 14 day guarantee. I paid instantly by Paypal. The company did everything it could to set me up with a working hosting account, but placed my overly large account on a small and overcrowded server. They then decided to move my account to a new server (which meant more downtime). When they had completed the transfer they had lost half of my files. (This was a substantial amount of information, over a gig's worth). My fourteen day guarantee passed very quickly as we struggled to correct the constant errors that continued to occur. The database would suddenly no longer work. Support were quick to fix it, but couldn't explain why it had happened and why it continued to happen. I was promised an extension of my guarantee time until the account was fully working. Finally, during my third week, I realised they just couldn't get their act together. I applied for a refund based on their promise of an extended guarantee. They informed me it was approved and would take 2 weeks because I had paid by Visa card. I explained I had paid via Paypal and suggested I do a dispute resolution through Paypal. No response. I contacted them via this support ticket every day for the two weeks and no reply. Whenever I contacted the Live chat, support told me to speak to someone else and would not help me. They even closed the chat on me. I began to panic because there is only a 45 day window with Paypal to do a dispute resolution. I did not submit the Paypal complaint and gave them good faith. They did not reply, and continued to ignore my tickets. The system automatically closes the tickets after 24 hours, so every 24 hours I would be back there, adding to my ticket. Each time they continued to ignore me. Now another 3 weeks have passed. I cannot request a refund from Paypal and I do not know how to maintain my 'pleasantness' when they will not assist me in any way to receive a refund. I have also attempted email (no reply), they have a 1-800 number on their website but I live overseas and cannot use it. When I requested a phone number I could call, I was told they don't do phone support.

I too have been ripped off by IntegraHost. I regretably registered for a free Domain Name with them. Since experience constant down times of my website, the most recent was for 10hrs, they did not know about, stated it was a folder issue with them, after I informed of the inaccessibility of my website. I was told by Andy he would check into it on the live chat...he never returned. Then later contacted them on live chat again, that tech after finding the problem and fixing it, when asked why didn't the other guy do that, I was told to "let it go" "it is fixed now".

Thats not downtime, that was a permission error, it appears to have been fixed, I'm sorry for not responding to your ticket, it got assigned to me for some reason and I was on vacation. I do apologize, but all should be fixed now, if it is not, let me know.

I have already submitted a ticket...but...I was sent here again...I have Internet Seer monitor my website...and on average...my website has been down, inaccessible, etc. every two days. It is down right now...I elected to use LIVE support...Andy is the LiveChat person...I gave him my website www.integrityrecruiting.biz. I told him of the problem(s), I did not know...because I have been working on other things...but the tip off came from my ATS company...they told me that they could not access my website. So I tried...and get a message...that I am not authorized to view the page.

Then I also got an email ALERT from Internet Seer...it comes up as URL: http://integrityrecruitingservices.com

I am still waiting. In the meantime, I cannot post jobs or my ATS company cannot adjust their program design for my company either. This is costing me money.[/B]

Well let's see...my site was down for 10hrs, plus you just billed me...so I calculate that I should have some compensation for the fact that you did not even know it was inaccessible for that length of time, I had to contact two (2) online support techs to get it fixed, the first one did nothing...the second was the one that found the problem. And then there should be pro-rated fee since you just billed me and received payment.

You have to purchase your domain from us since we registered it for you at no cost, the fee is $12.95, let me know if we can charge you this fee and then we will release the domain.

Now for all of those who have had this and more done to them, I have just contacted the Kentucky Attorney General's Office-Consumer Protection Agency. They will go after them if YOU will call them and let your complaint be known. They will act when they have received a lot of complaints. Seems good ol' Kyle Springer is the Main dude there, and he has purposely kept them under the radar by not listing with the Secretary of State's Office.

Anyway you can call the Attorney General's Office-Consumer Protection Agency at: 502-696-5300, and you may follow up with written complaints to: Attorney General-Division of Consumer Protection, 1024 Capital Center Dr., Frankfurt, KY 40601.

Let it be known, there is more than one way to skin a snake. I have done my part...it's up to you all now...companies like don't need to be in business...they have dirtied the meaning of Integra or Integrity which their name falsely proclaims.

This is what I was told for refunds:

1) You crash our servers and injure any of our equipment. (You should

know if your site is to big for shared servers)

2) You are rude and do nothing but harass our staff and cause problems.

3) To get a refund, we have to have a letter either mailed or faxed to

us with a signature, we have to have this to process a manual refund.

This is what I was told about the chat:

With the live chat, it doesn't always work properly 100% of the time

because a browser is not designed for live chat, if you have any further

Overall, IntegraHost (www.integrahost.com) offers great support and they will tell you that is there main strong point. They have provided me help through toll free number, Instant Messenger, and a support ticket system. So I have always been able to reach them whenever neccesary. If your looking for a host who will be supportive to you and your website, this is definitely the company.
