Beautiful Light Tan

I used this a lot on my face as I was feeling my face looked very pale, & sometimes people would think I was ill & kept on asking me if I was ok etc. So I bought this product & it made me feel like I'd been on a holiday all year round!! It took time to build up, which was good as it would have been odd to be pale the one day & tanned the next, so it looked natural like the sun had done it! Love it. I need to buy a new bottle of it & guess what I can't find it in the shops! But I'll try some of the bigger chemists to see if they've got it!

Absolutely Stinks

Used to really like this product as it gave a very gentle colour to pale skin; it smelt 'chemical' but not offensively so, however the latest product is vile. I agree with the reviewer who thinks it smells of play dough, and shan't be trying it for long enough to see if the tanning effect is as good as it was.

Not The Best Product On The Market

This went on well & smelled OK. But now I'm looking at the result, I wouldn't buy it again. It's certainly no better than any other fake tan product... and it IS more 'fake tan' than gradual tan. As with so many other fake tanners, the result is very YELLOW - I prefer a less yellow/brown tone, but finding a fake tan that isn't yellow-based is like finding a needle in a haystack. (the best one is Avon 'skin so soft' soft & glow but sadly this has been discontinued). However, if you get on with & usually buy Famous Dave's fair skin & face, the colour of the Johnson's Light is similar, so if you apply the Johnson's VERY CAREFULLY you could save yourself some money here. Anyway - I was surprised to see that the Johnson's one has left my legs looking a bit patchy, even streaky, because it's such a well-established brand. But I've had a good exfoliate, it will wear off in a few days & I'll be handing this one over to a slightly darker-skinned friend! It would suit a blonde who tans easily, but not a dead white person like me.

Not Bad If You're Just Looking For A Very Gentle Glow

This product is ok if you understand that it is not going to bronze you. You're going to look like you've been out in the sun for a little while, but you aren't going to be a "footballers wife". Yeap you can double up and get it to go darker, but this means more money and more importantly - More time. If you want a good colour by the weekend you need to start thinking about it on Monday. If you have no illusions about what this'll do then you'll get on with this fine - but if you're like me go for something with a bit more umpf!

Horrible Smell

I'm not sure if it works as a gradual tanner, to be honest, because the acrid chemical pong had me give up on it after a couple of days. I guess most fake tanners are full of nasty chemicals - this one just doesn't manage to disguise it.

Really Good

I love this stuff! It's really good, gives a nice, not at all streaky tan, and always gives me a little boost! I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent Product, And Cheap!

Bought a bottle to try out as I usually burn in the sun and this really does work I have a lovely tan building and at only £1.99 a bottle I thought I would try it cannot fault it one bit I don't mind the smell, it isn't as bad as some fake tans I've tried so after this I went back and bought two more to stock up as its nearly winter and no doubt I'll buy a few more to put in my cupboard!

Good Lotion

This is a good lotion but it has a very bad smell after application. The company should change its smell so that its consumer doesn't have to complain about it after using it....
