Nice Place

I was not that impressed by this restaurant but it was OK, I guess. I was here only once and the food was good enough. It was freshly prepared and delicious. However, there was something missing from the overall feel of the place. Anyway, you can check it out if you're in the area.

My Experience In Seafood Restaurant

It is one of the best seafood restaurant i have even been at. It is quite small, however they provide outstanding quality food. i have order a fish plate over there, it was so big and delicious, that i even took away part which i was unable to finish. For sure best seafood restaurant in Greenwich

Friendly And Good

I've been four times in this restaurant. I'm a returning guest. The food is very delicious (but at last I was a little bit disappointed for the deep-frozen chips). The staff is very nice and friendly. About the critics didn't shall be provided. This place is a small and nice restaurant, an 'original pearl'.

Avoid!

Having seen on the local news, how Greenwich Market was suffering for trade during the Olympics, I decided to visit and give them support. Unfortunately, I chose to have breakfast last Sunday at this cafe. It did look a greasy spoon place, but they can be a safe bet for a good economic breakfast. (In the London Bridge area anyway) The full English whilst reasonably priced at £4.90, was dreadful! A plate swimming in stale grease and extremely cheap and nasty sausage. I went to pay for two breakfasts and two luke warm unpleasant mugs of tea, the bill was £16. They had charged me £6.20 for the two unpleasant mugs of tea. I didn’t realise this as there was no price list for drinks. I questioned the price and was told that everything had gone up in Greenwich lately. I didn’t stand my ground. Wish I had. I felt cheated. Is this how they are behaving towards the influx of visitors for the Olympics? Shame on you, Beachcomber greasy spoon cafe. I visit Greenwich regularly but will never visit you again! Again, Shame on you!

Good

First impressions were pretty average but then we both had the seafood platter. Lobster, crab, prawns, langoustines, oyster and scollop in a delicious sauce. Excellent meal. Highly recommended restaurant.

What A Find! Fancied Fish And That's Exactly What

What a find! Fancied fish and that's exactly what I got! Lovely staff and fantastic menu. Too much to choose from. Ended up with a fishplatter for me and it was delicious. Plenty of mussels, scallops, oysters, octopus, crayfish, crab and my favourite lobster! Will definately be going there again and already looking forward to it! Place could do with freshening up a little and probably different choice in background music! Loved the place and really loved the food! Would recommend to any fish/seafood lovers!!!

Great Find

I went a short time ago for my celebration lunch break and might only point out that this place is dramatic, Celeste, superb, delicious. There likely aren't enough adjectives to spell it out this places seigneurie.there were starters, mains and desserts and many types of four persons had absolutely nothing to complain about, for our grandkids, that claims a lot and we were still talking on the subject of how good it absolutely was this morning. Our waitress was talkative and contributed his thoughts and opinions on the menu that is something I very much truly appreciate and the chef came out to speak to us that may be something I wish more places would do since it shows an interest and appreciation on the customers.Service was friendly and proficient too. A wine was recommended to fit the dishes we had chosen and bread, butter and water was proferred rapidly.Mains included a range of dishes, I don't recall what everyone had as we started sharing food that has a delighted promiscuity. That they are absolutely truthful, I think this can be my new favourite restaurant.

Over £30 For Fish N'chips & A Dose Of Food Poisoning

We searched for a place around Greenwich to have our Fish and Chips on Sat 2nd July 2011 and we came across the Beachcomber Seafood Restaurant. We heard good things about it and decided to treat ourselves.

After a prolonged wait, we ordered the Cod & Plaice with chips and it all seemed fine. We were aware of the greenflies on the nearby window but beyond that thought nothing of it. The food came and everything seemed fine. It was somewhat on the expensive side for the quality but the quirkiness of the restaurant setting made the experience abit of fun.

Having gone home, that afternoon (and this morning as I write this) my husband has been vomitting continuously. Since our visit to the restaurant my husband was unable to eat and it was clearly from our stay at the Beachcomber. The high recommendations were very good but can only say that we were very unlucky and on this ocassion would not recommend this restaurant.

We will never return to this restaurant and would recommend to get your fish and chips elsewhere in Greenwich.

First Time Visit For A Party Of 6.we Were Seated,

First time visit for a party of 6.We were seated, drinks orders taken whilst we pondered on what staters and mains to have. We did not have to wait long for our starters of soups, prawns, whitebait & calamari, which we all shared and enjoyed. Mains were lobsters, salmon, scallops and steak and coffee liquers, desserts, good wine, beers, vodka and champagne.

I would say there is something on the menu for everyone and good prices.

The staff were very very friendly and attentive (Thank you). I would recommend for lunches and diners. What was nice was that even after we had finished at no time were we made to feel we must leave like other restaurants. Thanks to Jimmy and everyone at Beachcomer Seafood for a wonderful wonderful evening. M Hadran(Mrs)

Absolutely Revolting Is What Comes To Mind And I'm

Absolutely revolting is what comes to mind and I'm not that fussy. I think we were served by either the owner or the manager of the restaurant and he was pretty damn rude right at the start.

My baby seabass was all bone and no meat. Very dry indeed.

I said that I didn't want to pay a tip as a consequence of my experience and he said it was mandatory to pay it. As you can imagine we were a little angry.

Please do not waste your money in here.
