They trick you into signing up for their newsletter to get a special offer. Then they write you “sorry, the offer has expired“, even though you did it immediately, so there was no time for it to expire seems to be just a bait-and-switch.

I use this company regularly to order products for my family, and I use the sister company "VetVits" to order products for our animal family members. Great range of products of good quality, and excellent cusomter service.
The prices are excellent too. The only thing which makes this company just short of perfect is the very slow delivery. It pays to avoid watching your postbox for your parcel for up to 10 days, because nothing will happen before then!
Shame, because otherwise this company is brilliant. But knowing that I won't receive my order immediately, I will still continue to buy from this company.

Hidden Price Increases With Change Of Packaging And Quantity
Some time ago I contacted Healthspan about their change in packaging and my suspicions that because of a reduction in quantity in some packages, there was also a hidden price increase. They responded to my email, but only to explain their decision to change packaging. They did not address my question about pricing.
I have just placed an order for 120 1200mg Garlic capsules which I have been using for some time, and for which I paid £6.45. I decided to check what I paid last time and I discovered that in Nov 2013, I paid £6.45 for 180 garlic capsules. This represents a huge price increase. I have investigated further and discovered similar hidden price increases e.g. in July 2013 I paid £6.45 for 180 Selenium tablets, but in May 2014 paid £14.95 for 240, again a huge price increase. I am sure that if I had the time, I would find more of these hidden price increases.
I am very disappointed that this company has chosen to use such underhand tactics to surreptitiously increase some prices. I have been a very good and loyal customer for many years, as well as recommending them to family and friends. For the first time I will now consider looking elsewhere and carefully comparing their prices with other companies the next time I need to place an order.

10 Days Delivery & Other Problems
I ordered stomach bifodus products from these clowns Healthspan, they took ages to come and did not do what they suggested, could have been taking talc for all I know.
I then got spammed to death by them and many trees killed by their catalogues which came regularly in the post despite me asking them to stop.
Today in a moment of madness I nearly ordered some Saw Palmeto, it was strange, when I clicked the buy button it said it was giving me a DISCOUNT. At first I was happy but it is NOT a discount it is a POSTAL CREDIT against a fee you will be charged for delivery. I make this distinction because many sites do offer real discounts and have promo codes (although some of them are fake but that is another review).
So I tried to get on the chat for this company to clarify delivery but it did not work, it said there were 0 agents and 0 waiting.
So I called, the first operator did not want to touch this and put me through to a supervisor, she told me that delivery would take their normal 10 days!
10 days I said, nobody wants to wait 10 days for delivery, she tried to suggest it was normal, I pointed out the names of numerous sites that get you the product next day if you place the order by 4pm. She confirmed that was impressive.
It turns out they now ship from Holland, more local jobs lost!
The bottom line is that you can't chase an order that has not been received until 10 days have passed.
They do not make this clear on their website, well certainly not before you have paid, I did not get that far because after last time I was not going to proceed with the order.
As it is I have found other sites that provide a greater quantity per pill of Saw Palmetto (320g vs 500g) and 2 times as many for the same price (90 vs 180)
So based on what happened last time and now that I remember the AWFUL packaging Healthspan use which are a nightmare in your kitchen or bathroom cupboard, I will not be placing another order.

I've been using HealthSpan for well over a year now for multi vitamins and Omega 3 tablets, as well as ordering the ad hoc thing for my mum.
I have always found the standard of the products to be very good. I find the website easy to use and the delivery up to a good standard too.
I see that others have had issues with the company but I certainly never have.

Poor Service With No Call As Promised
I went to Healthspan's website to re-order goods that I had previously bought in September. I located the items and went to the checkout to complete the order. I had to enter new card details because my card was mislaid in October and I was sent a new one.
The first time I tried to pay the screen didn't show a confirmation, nor was there an email. So I presumed I had done something wrong and checked the card and tried three more times but on each occasion their server said card declined.
I have a card that I preload as I am about to make my purchase, so I checked my card and sure enough, the first time round it had accessed the card provider who had given a 'pre-auth' to Healthspan for the £38.75 purchase cost. That was why the three subsequent attempts failed as declined.
I phoned them and told them and they said "Just repeat the order and don't worry about the pre-auth because that will expire in 2 or 3 days". I knew they were wrong about that so I checked with my bank: 15 days is the duration of the pre-auth. I complained to their finance department and they eventually agreed to look at the problem again and call me back. That was 36 hours ago.
If their server took a pre-auth they must have the authority to take the money that they are to idle or don't know how to get round this mess. If they did that they could repeat my order and I would then receive the goods that I ordered.
If they cannot even be bothered to phone me back, what hope is there?

Increased Prices: Less Pills In Package :-(
Dreadful company. Their prices keep rising and they lie about increased production costs and then they go and reduce the actual number of pills that you get in each container and rise the price even more. Total ripoff, full of deceit and lies and I wouldn't buy from them again.
They spam you with emails about so-called "sales" where you get 50p or £1 off of a £15 product which you can buy from other places for half the price.

Also, despite their promises on a cashback site, the cashback was cancelled for the third time, without any explanation and was never received for my last (ever) purchase from these jokers.
I could never recommend Healthspan to anyone due to my many negative experiences with them. It's very, very rare that I feel the need to write a review but I feel that I wanted to share my experience to warn others about the shoddy service that Healthspan provide.
