Total Rip Off

Since Oprah has taken over the company it has all gone down hill

Cancelled on line- they still stole money from me.

Customer advisors over the phone were particularly condescending when I initially thought I was being over charged.

Terms and conditions were not clearly discussed when I went to 1st meeting.

The smart points is rubbish.

I wish that weight watchers would employ people who were qualified nutritionalists and actually know something other than the brain washed leaders they have. I am an intelligent person and do not appreciate being spoken to like a 5yr old

Keep Charging Even After You Cancel

Signed up to 3 months online to give Weight Watchers a try and see how it was.

The idea is good but its hard to follow and putting it online was a pain.

The worse thing was trying to leave!! I paid the 3 month on a credit card and didn't know they keep taking payment even though I signed up as a trial!! Once I found out on the first month they took payment I cancelled and they still took another payment! I've called again to cancel again so I will see if they do it this time.

They are so stupid because its something you would do for a while then come back to later on but its so hard to cancel I wouldn't want to go through it again.

My Return To Weight Watchers

As one of a large number of yo yo dieters I find myself needing to loose weight agaiin so as I had used weight watchers previously on several occasions both at meetings initially and latterly by taking online only with success it seemed the obvious way to go.

I took a three month membership and currently four weeks in.

I will not deny I have lost 8 pounds however the website is far from user friendly, in fact my blood pressure tends to rise if I am not putting in values of previously saved items. If you want help by emailing the support line you can literally forget it. I have tried twice, once in the first couple of days of use as I couldn't figure out how to build recipes although I had found it easy last time around but what do you know I still don't have a reply. I know there is live chat however when I try to use it when I am angry the typing is not quite coherent.

I have now been challenged with the 'new plan' on the surface it looks like you have more daily points but less 'use anytime' points. All the items I had saved needed more information and ended up higher per item with most up to two to three times higher. Now that would be okay if you had a lot more daily points but an extra four and I have a definite fear of starvation pending.

The new plan is pushing exercise which we all know is the driver for weight loss together with reducing intake however how much do you have time for each day unless you are a dedicated gym bunny. Maybe I am lazy but my walking for a couple of hours at the weekend plus light stepping with the Wii I feel should be enough. Unless I am missing something I would need to walk at least that amount per day to meet the 5 points extra recommended.

I know there has been a recent offer to guarantee weight loss or I believe return of fee. Maybe I am synical but reduce intake, increase exercise should do it if you can manage on the points and I guess you need to follow it to claim a refund.

Biggest concern is all the weight watcher products on the market have points on them so as a little exercise I used the new calculator for their own chocolate wafers and they don't work out at the 2 points on the packet but now work out at 4.

I will stay with it as I have paid and do need to loose the weight. Will I ever use weight watchers again or extend past the three months I have paid for......not a chance.

This is not the cheapest weight loss plan on the market to have support or for that matter meetings. Or even a calculator for points.

Would I recommend it to friends........ Do you even need to ask.

Weight Watchers Website

The Weight Watchers Pro points diet is great . I've lost 10 pounds in a month and the online tracking is easy to use and keeps you on track

However the rest of the website and their accounting is so prehistoric and throws obstacles at every given opportunity . I have wasted half a day trying to change my direct debit details, and still haven't achieved what I set out to do . For a company as big as Weight watchers , you would have thought they may have dragged themselves into the 21st Century

Don't Buy From Weight Watchers Site

I have tried to purchase guides from the site, having already purchased three months membership. However, despite not confirming or properly processing the order, they have taken payment from my account three times, totalling over £50. I called them, and was told nobody was available in Technical Department to take my call. Eventually got through, and a rather patronising lady took my details and said she would need a lot of info from my bank before she could instruct them to refund the payment. I then spent another deal of time, during my working day, getting this info from the bank, and emailing it back to WW. That was three days ago, and money has still not been refunded. I have sent several emails, but other than the generic "we have received your email" nonsense, nobody bothers to respond. Please beware before handing any bank details to WW as they are quick to take money, and very slow to repay it.

Brilliant!!!

I joined WW online and got my at home premium members pack. I read everything over and over again and got a copy of the latest WW magazine and did the same with that. In my first week I lost SIX POUNDS!!! The pro points system is so easy, I don't understand why anyone would find it hard. I have NEVER felt hungry once. It's just brilliant. I've tried SW and I put weight ON. I'll be sticking with WW forever!!! Best thing ever. I can't even call it a diet because it doesn't feel like it to me. My aunt, who has been clinically obese for a LONG time has lost almost 3 stone so far, so if she can do it, so can anyone. She is now my diet buddy. We share tips and ideas and recipes and support each other. 3 cheers for WW!!

Fabulous!

The pro points system is absolutely wonderful. I've lost just over a stone in 11 weeks and have only felt hungry one day a week or every 2 weeks, whereas with some diets, feeling hungry is the norm! So easy to calculate and works well in a family setting. Much better than calorie counting - I can snack on as much fruit and veg as I want so, if I'm running low on points, I can forego the spuds with a meal and bulk up on veg instead. I am converted!

Weight Watchers Propoints System Is Appalling

The so-called improved ProPoints system is, in my view, the worst plan Weight Watchers have ever introduced.

They already had a perfectly good and relatively simple formula - calories and saturated fat were all that was required to calculate the points in a food. This contributed to a steady weight loss and the reduction in saturated fat contributed to improved health - it was as simple as that!

Now, no fewer than four different elements have to be used - protein, carbohydrate, fat and fibre. This is fiddly and time-consuming.

Why on earth they changed from something so simple and effective is a mystery to me - I think everyone knows that something not broken does not need to be mended.

ProPoints is pushed as being far healthier than previous systems and suggests that fat-burning will be more efficient. When the plan was introduced, the fact that most fruit could be freely eaten was one of its unique selling points and I remember being told that you could definitely eat as much as you wanted, which seemed odd to me as calories are calories and too many of them, whatver their source, equals weight gain. Members are now advised not to eat too much as it could hinder their weight loss.

As for the new plan being healthier, I am not so sure - it appears to me to be not dissimilar to the old

Sorry I have to disagree. I think the pro points system is brilliant and so easy to follow and understand. The support from the WW message boards is fabulous and so is their FB page. I'd recommend WW to anyone without hesitation.

Terribly Hungry!

I've never done WW before, but was coming across more and more people who were losing weight through the new pro-points system so I thought I'd give it a go. I'd always done slimming world in the past, very successfully, but thought a fresh start might be in order so I joined up online. I was really disappointed with WW and was constantly hungry. Having to count EVERY item of food except fruit and veg was a nightmare for me as I seriously love eating! I felt deprived, grouchy and throroughly fed up and after only losing one measly pound after my first week, I then decided to quit! I'm now back to my local slimming world group and have lost half a stone in 2 weeks and I'm merrily munching my way through a great deal more than I ever could on the WW plan. It might be for some, but if like me you love eating and not counting every morsel of food that enters your mouth, then I don't believe WW will be right for you.
