Kenwood JE356

This juicer was given to me. It is only impressive in that it turns fruit and veg into pulp in seconds.

The juicing part is less impressive. 20 ml worth of juice from a whole orange? You're kidding, right? In other words, it doesn't actually manage to extract a significant amount of juice from that pulp. In fact, pressing the pulp through a sieve actually got me more juice out of the pulp than what the juicer managed to squeeze out. Most of the juice that does come out the machine, seems to come out of the bottom, through the internals of the machine rather than through the front spout, leaving you with a huge mess on your working surface, and a possible safety hazard. You cannot easily open the juicer to clean its internals (popping of the rubber feet reveals triangular slot screws). Add to this that popping the bits in the dishwasher isn't enough to actually clean it, and you soon find you got yourself a device that's surprisingly less useful than not having a juicer at all. I realize you should not look a gift horse in the mouth, but even taking that into consideration, this juicer is bad value. I won't be using this juicer again, and would be ashamed to give it away and inflict it on anyone else.

I would not recomment the Kenwood JE356 to anybody. I am returning back to shop.

I haven't tried any other juicers so can't compare but for the price it is I can live with it's short comings. I wouldn't recommend it though as the opening where the juice comes out is really badly designed and doesn't flow into to cup (unless you tilt a bigger cup underneath to catch the juice) which is a key point for a juicer!

The Kenwood JE356 is noisey and spills most of the juice over the worksurface.

Tiny hole for putting in fruit

Virtually no juice comes out.

Give your money to charity instead.

A triumph of marketing over practicality.

Used the Kenwood JE356 once - couldn't give it away so had to throw it away.
