The Yamaha Dd55 Drum Kit Was My First Kit, And It

The yamaha DD55 drum kit was my first kit, and it held up for 5 years of everyday practice, stage performances and just generally took a real beating from me. The 7 assignable pads are touch sensitive to allow expressive playing. It comes with over 200 voices to assign to any pad of your choice, 44 pre-set kits each suited to different styles of music, and 99 built in songs to play along to so you can't get bored.

The MIDI in/out sockets allow you to hook it up to your PC and take your musical exploration to another level.

The DD55 is not huge, but there is much to enjoy from this small set-up. This is my first review so I really haven't got a clue what to say next, so all I'm going to say is it is adaptable to play anywhere, you can have unlimited fun with it, (i got 5 years out of it!), it's not too pricey at around the £150 mark, and it'll keep beginners drumming until thier parents decide they are prepared to put up with an acoustic kit.

The DD55 kit consists of:

- Seven touch sensitive pads

- Two foot pedals

- Ear phone socket

- MIDI In/MIDI Out sockets

- 99 demo songs

- 44 pre-set kits

- Over 200 assignable voices

- Drum Sticks and owners manual
