The Oaks Cattery, Marple Bridge, Cheshire

We have used this Cattery for the last 25 years or so. It is clean, tidy and the lady who runs it is a truly genuine cat lover. You need have no qualms about using it for your cats, and there is nothing we can find fault with. Your cats will be in excellent hands.

Bit conerned about this cattery.

Our usually boisterous cat returned very nervous with a gunky eye and absolutely ranevous. I called the owner to ask if my cat was ok and she assured me he had eaten and was fine. When we collected I was told there had been problems with eating but that she did not want to tell me and "ruin the holiday". That concerned me.

I took a full tub of treats for a 2 night stay which went missing and she confessed she thought her dog had taken them which worried me that a dog was allowed to roam unattended near the cats.

Also charged 3 full days for just over 48 hour stay.

A fantastic cattery! Very clean, spacious and secure. The chalets for each cat are nice and big and they all have outdoor runs attached to them so you're cat can choose to stay in side or go out through the cat flap to stretch his legs and see what's going on! Inside they are warm with extra heat available for the extra cold nights. As others have said, it's the owner who makes it so great. Truly loving and with a passion for cats, she will take care of your cat as if it was her own.

I have been using The Oaks for my 2 cats for over 15years. The high standard has been maintained throughout. Together with the beautiful setting, the pens are spotlessly clean, warm and cosy in the Winter and light and airy in the Summer. However the principle reason for returning to The Oaks year in year out is the genuine loving care given by the owner. One of my cats had a stroke and she took care of his medication and needs as if he was her own. I could always tell my cats had been happy during their stay as she had become a surrogate mother to them.

Book early,you can rest assured your cat will be taken good care of - it is a wonderful place !!

The Oaks Cattery is a little gem, a real find! We've not had our cat long and this is the first time we've put him in a cattery. I think it's safe to say that Murphy enjoyed his stay at the Oaks. They really take wonderful care of the cats and they all get individual attention. The pens are spotlessly clean and very spacious with both inside, heated accommodation and ample outside space, with a wonderful view across the hills! I would definately recommend this cattery 100%, very reasonably priced.

Thanks for taking brilliant care of Murphy, we don't need to worry about him now when we go on holiday :o)

I would thoroughly recommend the Oaks Cattery to anyone who wants the best for their cat. The "pens" are spacious and clean, the cats even have pleasant views, heating of the chalets is always adequate. The lady who runs the cattery is very caring and is obviously a great lover of animals, particularly cats. The welfare of each individual cat is something she cares about very much and this is immediately apparent upon visiting the cattery. If a star rating were available I am sure the Oaks would qualify for 5 stars!

The Oaks cattery is situated in the Cheshire countryside just outside Stockport.

The lady who runs it is a lovely lady, and absolutely adores cats. I once boarded my cat at The Oaks over the Christmas period, and when I went to collect my cat, the lady had made toys for the cats in her care for Christmas.

There have been a few ocassions when I haven't been able to get my cat boarded at The Oaks due to the cattery being so popular, and also extremely well priced.

I love this cattery, and I would only ever go elsewhere if The Oaks didn't have room for my cat.
