I Am In-love Again For The First Time In A While..
I am in-love again for the first time in a while...I mean - stop me in my tracks, Comptoir Sud Pacifique Matin Calin is so different...and yet so familiar. I bought it immediately and two spare bottles are ordered and on their way. I realize there are dupes out there, however, I am someone that likes the original of perfumes etc. If it is a copy of a Tiffany's bracelet - I don't wanna KNOW it is (get what I mean?). Anyway, wish it would stay on longer and provide a little scent trail but, I just adore this. It stays close to the body but, I can smell it there if I put my wrist to my nose...for quite some time. I enjoy the scent and I don't seem to be bothering anyone. Perhaps they will come out with a lotion? ...oh, shampoo and conditioner would be nice too...and a perfume version? ha ha. This is on my shelf for as long as they make it - which I hope will be a long time. This is a warm, sweet milk scent with a bit of honey and vanilla...not too sweet ...just so comforting. My daughter tells me it smells like the warm vanilla milk I used to put in her bottle and I still make her (in a cup of course) when she is upset. I believe Matin Calin means "Morning Cuddle"...that name suits this scent perfectly.

Comptoir Sud Pacifique Matin Calin Smells So Ident
Comptoir Sud Pacifique Matin Calin smells so identical to condensed milk that I would find it hard to believe there are even any other ingredients added to it. Nearly identical to but more expensive than Demeter's Condensed Milk, Matin Calin makes me think of a nursery, or of babysitting...it brings back memories of feeding my nieces and nephews when they were infants. Soft and cozy, very sweet. It isn't something I'd wear often, and I'm not even certain where I'd wear it; it isn't exactly safe or universally appealing enough to wear everywhere like Burberry Brit, but it isn't really unique enough to be daring. Definitely not a "clubbing" or first date fragrance, as everyone would think you had just left your baby somewhere.
Also, this might be the strongest of the milk scents I've encountered but it has been outdone by Fresh's Mukki--a caramelized honey-milk scent that's also short-lived but more interesting. Matin Calin is simply condensed milk.
