The Sainsburys Con!!!!!!!!
I bought an Indesit tumble dryer on 8th Feb. The money was taken from my account immediately and I was informed that I would be contacted shortly with a delivery date.
A few days later I was contaced by the delivery company telling me that due to adverse weather conditions it would take a bit longer for me to get my dryer. Of course I said this was fine as I wouldn't want to feel responsible if the driver crashed in ice and snow whilst trying to get my dryer to me. They thanked me for being so understanding and told me it would be with me in a week or so.
I was contacted and told that my delivery slot was to be 19th Feb (Sunday) so I started to prepare for the dryer turning up. Did it arrive??? Of course not!!! I was informed that the manufacturer had not dispatched it to them as yet so it wasn't their fault.
I was given a further delivery date of 22nd Feb and told it would 100% definately be with me on that day so again I started to prepare my kitchen for the new arrival. I received a call from the delivery company yesterday (20th Feb) informing me yet again that the dryer had still not been dispatched from the manufacturer and this time they said they had no idea when I would receive it as the manufacturer had no date for dispatch. I had had enough by this point so asked how Sainsburys could have this item showing 'In Stock' when I bought it only to find out that in fact it is not? I was told that Sainsburys don't have a warehouse to hold all their products in and that they order each item direct from the manufacturer and that if I had any queries I would have to take it up with Sainsburys.
I immediately spoke to Ryan at Sainsburys customer services (in Northern Ireland) at just after 1pm and said that I wanted my money back. He asked why so I told him about the failed deliveries and I was not willing to sit waiting forever for my dryer. I also told him that Sainsburys were quick enough to take my money. He asked me to stay on the phone and he would immediately cancel the order - came back and told me the order was cancelled and that he would put the money back to my card. He said it would be back on my debit card either late that night or next day. Was the money returned as promises??? Of course not.
I was checking my emails same evening (20th Feb) and found one from Sainsburys concerning the dryer. I opened it and it was an exact duplicate of the Order Acknowledgement I had received the day I bought the dryer, even with the same date on it so I called Sainsburys Customer Services again. This time I spoke to Kara who told me just to disregard the email. I told her it was an order acknowledgement for the dryer which had been cancelled earlier that day. She said it hadn't been cancelled as cancellations take a full 24 hours and after that time had elapsed, then they would start the refund process which would then take a further 3-5 working days to reach my account. I told her what Ryan had said earlier but she said he had given me wrong information. I asked to speak to a Manager to be told that there were no Managers available. I said I would hold but was told that there were Managers in the office at all to which I said this sounds rather convenient. I then asked to speak to someone above her and was again told that there was no one I could speak to.
I received another email last night (still 20th Feb) informing me that the order had been cancelled and it would take 3-5 working days for the money to reach my account. I went into my bank and asked them why it takes so long. I was told that this is not true and that as soon as Sainsburys hit the button their end, the money will show in my account immediately.
I called Sainsburys again this morning and asked to speak to a Manager. Paula (a Manager) was full of ummms and errrrs the whole time she was speaking to me. I told her that I was not permitted to speak to anyone higher than Kara, she told me that Managers would have finished their shift just before I called but that there are others higher than Kara that I could have spoken to. I just said that this is yet another lie from Sainsburys. I told her the whole saga of the dryer together with the information from Ryan and the conflicting information from Kara. She told me that it does take 3-5 working days for the money to get to my account but that is down to the bank and not them. I told her that I knew this was untrue and told her what the bank had told me. She tried to argue the point with a lot of ummms and errrrrs. I also told her that Sainsburys advertising an item as being 'In Stock' was a complete lie and that Trading Standards should look at them. She said that they didnt have warehouses to keep all these products in so just order them from the manufacturer so if it wasn't delivered then it was the manufacturer's fault and not theirs. I told her that I paid Sainsburys who quickly took my money so therefore the buck stops with them. She really didn't want to know. I was offered nothing by way of compensation and I told her that I have been a Sainsburys shopper for groceries all my life but that this has finished me. I told her that I will never use Sainsburys for so much as a pint of milk. She just said ok. I was so angry I hung up the phone.
I am so angry but looking at other reviews it appears that this is normal for Sainsburys.

Delivery And Customer Service
We have experienced very poor service since ordering a Dryer. The website advertises delivery in 2to 3 days. Our first delivery date was after 5 days the second delivery date another three days, and now delivery is promised on the day we go on holiday!I have no confidence in this date.
The service telephone keeps you hanging on and replies to emails are promised in one to two days.
I have requested a refund as I can get next day delivery for the same price. Will I get it?Watch this space.

Appalling Delivery Service
I have given them one star, rather than zero. As I do now have a washing machine, which from reading other reviews sounds like I am lucky to have a product at all.
I will not bore you with the details but in short DO NOT ORDER from Sainsburys. Appalling service, "customer service" useless, costs more than amazon. And amazon have never let me down yet. I certainly will not use Sainsburys again.

My Wife And I Ordered A Fridge/freezer But Some Da
My wife and I ordered a fridge/freezer but some days after taking our payment Sainsbury's informed us that the item is out of stock. We then tried to arrange delivery of an alternative model in the same price range but had no luck. After 3 weeks of struggling with Sainsbury's we asked them to cancel the order, but they actually refused. After more phone calls and emails they had still not cancelled the order, a month after we paid for the item. Finally they agreed to cancel and we received a refund without any compensation or even an apology. We then ordered a similar item from Asda and it was delivered within 4 days. Never again Sainsbury's for us!

I Ordered A Stainless Steel Lg Fridge Freezer Onli
I ordered a stainless steel LG fridge freezer online on 5 May 2009. This was done after spending hours surfing various sites and trying to find something to meet my required specification. Although I needed it immediately the only delivery dates available were for weekdays and I needed it to be delivered on a date when the house would be occupied. The only Saturday available was 6 June 2009. A month is a long time to wait for a fridge, but I decided that I had no choice.
On 3 June at 6.55am, I received an email confirming that the fridge would be delivered. It states specifically ' Delivery Date 06/06/2009 ' and ' Below is your delivery confirmation ' . '
On 4 June at 6.55am, I received an identical email to the one above, both of which have turned out to be complete lies.
On 4 June, at around 7pm I received a phone call from ' Anna ' stating that the manufacturer had stopped making the fridges and none would be delivered. So, a whole month after taking my money the end result is no goods no service.
Sainsburys Kitchen Appliances is a disgrace and I intend to write to Sainsburys HQ regarding this supplier.

I Had The Same Experience As Many People Here. I O
I had the same experience as many people here. I ordered a cooker, a hob and a cooker hood from Sainsbury's Kitchen Appliances. Sainsbury's took the money immediately then called just before the delivery date to say there was a delay. Then called again before the second due delivery date, as all the items were still not in stock. This was despite the items appearing on the website with Rapid Delivery tags. They blamed the manufacturer, even though at no point during the purchase process does the website warn that Sainsbury's is totally dependent on the manufacturer supplying the goods. Sainsbury's own terms an conditions state that they will not take money before stock has been confirmed. I cancelled the order. The whole thing was a frustrating waste of time and money.

I Have Been Reading The Negative Reviews On This S
I have been reading the negative reviews on this site and its like Deja vu! Sainsbury Kitchen Appliances Online took my money as soon as I ordered, was promised delivery within 1 week. 2 days before the delivery I was called to say there was a delay and new delivery date was set for 2 weeks time (despite website still stating express delivery was available). This happened 2 more times and a month and a half on we still had no washing machine. So biting the bullet we decided to change washing machine model, only to be told they would have to refund our money (would take 5 days) but would take the money out for the other appliance (same price) immediately. We cancelled both orders and won't be using "Sainsburys kitchen appliances" again!!! To top it off they sent me an email to complete a customer satisfaction survey - the link was incorrect and did not link to the survey!!
