The Bombay Bicycle Club, Balham

Terrible, terrible food (except for the poppadoms). Strong suspicion : the base(sauce) for the curries comes out of a bottle. The chicken tasted like it was a hundred years old. We ordered with high expectations; we ended up STILL hungry and extremely disappointed. The only thing commendable is their delivery service; its prompt - but given that they probably just take out food from the fridge and microwave it, I suppose they don't have much to do. We will NEVER EVER order from them again.

Awful. The food is bland and tastes boring. The kitchen has resorted to "matrix"-menus, xyz sauce on 123 meat gives you great choice but the result is awful. I suspect that the sauces come out of a bucket, supermarket cooking sauce style. There was nothing fresh or springy about any of the food. Chicken rubbery and plasticky. Salmon tasteless and bland. Service is sullen and grim. You cannot get your order in. Plates slammed down in front of you. No service with a smile here. A real gastronomic SABENA. Whatever the TBBC had that used to make it special is gone.

We waited 2 hours and 40 mins. That is almost 3 hours for delivery from Putney Bombay Bicycle. Ordered at 8pm. Had to ring them 6 times. @ drivers were sent out. We are not in a hard location to find, at all. They also had to cook food twice, because the first order had been sitting around for so long. Not a Happy customer at all.

I apsolutly love The Bombay Bicycle club and go as often as I can. The food is to die for the service is of the highest standard and it is just a lovely place to take your friends and family.
