Vilamoura, Tivoli Marinotel

quality from biggest prawns I've seen to octopus and differnt kinds of fish every night, definately recommend half board, the main pool area is nice especially if you can get one of those huts type sunlounges, but it can get busy with kids, we tried the other pool which is more tranquil and fresh-water with vertually no clorine.. brekfasts had everything smoked salmon, cereals, amazing papaya, dif kinds of fruit, youhurt, lots of fresh cheeses, etc.. the only thing about tivoli victoria being the golf hotel is far removed from the sea. although I trained a lot and I didnt mind running to the beach for 4km, if I was simply having a holiday then I would have liked to be closer to the sea, in which case I would go the Sheraton Algarve, which i think is truly the best resort, although you would have to pay a premium for it.
