This company were terrible from the start. Utterley incompetent didnt follow my request for my choice of umbrella company. Now on consultant no 4 after the first 3 left or were sacked. Made a complete mess of my wageS for the first 10 weeks and I had to rely on emergency payments ..still awaiting mileage claims to be resolved after 5 months ..you get sick and tired of thier broken promises and lame apologies and having to sort everything out yourself .regulalry get promised money and nothing gets paid in I escalated my complaints to managers level and little has changed ..they just dont care and you are left in financial confusion

They are quite happy to put you forward for roles and get you an interview. Don't expect a follow up call if unsuccessful, they don't have the common decency to let you know. Wish I'd read the other reviews before agreeing for them to represent me, never again!

Avoid this company like the plague. I lost my placement 4 months ago due to my dbs not being renewed within timescales. They had sent me an email reminder to the wrong email address and didn't phone me until 1 week before expiry date so my placement had to let me go. If that isn't bad enough I have not heard from the person I dealt with who was supposed to be supporting me to find a New placement for the last 2 months despite me leaving messages requesting a call back. I was then offered compensation a month ago which hasn't materialised dispite several conversations.

I have never come across such rude incompetent people in all my life and have now been out of placement since May. Advice to others is to go to any agency other than this one

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THEYR DONE PAY YOU ON TIME AND IT BS ABOUT REFERENCES ETC, I HAVE NOT BEEN PAID FPR WEEKS!!! OUTRAGEOUS

Extremely unprofessional consultants, who have not the slightest understanding of the roles or the industry they recruit for and are extremely rude to candidates.

I've seen some poor contracts, but this was the worst one I have ever seen.

Pretty obvious the agency had never seen the workplace as it was filthy.

One guy had a runny nose that ran all over his pc's keyboard and then he was eating over it too.

First day I was there i had to clean it all up with a wet wipe, made it look great - then the next day they swapped me to the next machine, which was just as bad!

The day after that they swapped me too the next machine.

Fourth day I was on a different machine, but had a word with the manager telling him this was the last move i was having - it wasn't!

They got the contractor to clean up the fulltimers mess!!!

One who hired me, told me off for not letting her know how bad things where, when i said i'd had enough of it there.

Didn't know at time of contract that Badenoch and Clark where part of Adecco - otherwise would of run a mile!

Avoid at all costs!!!

Avoid like the plague, find a decent company who actually pay what they owe you and don't waste your time with their stupid fake rubbish.

I did not get paid. It took two months, loads of time and an official complaint before I got my pay. The Consultant was rude and arrogant. She refused to process my pay until I resubmitted all my documents including tests which had to be done again, certificates and updated CV. This took half a day. I was given a date and promise of payment which never came. I followed up with phone calls and emails and eventually made an official complaint. I then had to submit all the paperwork again to someone else. I eventually contacted ACAS and checked that my employers had made the payment to B&C. After two months, the money was sent to the incorrect umbrella company. I registered with them because I just wanted it done. Due to the time delay, I missed out on over £50 of expenses. Worst Nightmare. I have used them intermittently over the past five years and have found them to be efficient and professional.

Something has definitely changed.

I have heard from a friend that not only was she paid over 2 weeks late but they have have also paid a ridiculous amount of money into her account.

When contacted they take messages and never call their employees,that have earned them commission by the way,back. They really must have the lowest phone call charges in the country.

Why would people work for people that do not respect the people who work for them? I would not recommend anyone to work for them especially in the London office.

Badenoch and Clark, along with the umbrella company Giant, are the worst people I have ever worked for.

B&C were very forceful in making me go with Giant. I had asked numerous times to be PAYE all request were ignored until I told them I had spoken to Acas.

B&C have underpaid me for my entire assignment, withheld my wages for 5 weeks and unlawfully deducted money from my pay.

I would strongly recommend you stay away from this company. They are awful!

Stay away from the umbrella companies too, you may get less tax but your pay rate is lower and your charges are higher, you'll only know that when you look into it properly as they glam it up but throwing lots of good looking numbers at you. I found out the hard way!
