Corrupt

i worked for lifestyle fitness for many years and I can openly say leaving was the best decision I made, it is by far the most selfish, greedy and corrupt company I have ever came across in my lifetime. Following speaking to other ex employees some of which where of management status during their time at LSF have all shared stories and backed evidence of the corruption that takes place behind closed doors. From using PT's as bait to bully employed staff members out of clubs (because their face doesn't fit) to stalking your personal life. I even encountered one ex personal trainer who commented that he felt it necessary to contact police in order to have a harassment order put in place. My advice to anybody joining this gym as a member is read the contract carefully and make sure they let you read it as often it's just a box that's ticked by a rude sales consultant without any acknowledgment. And my second peice of advice is to those considering a career with lifestyle fitness ..... don't !

Avoid! Gym That Its A Bank

AVOID!! Seeing as the censor their Facebook page .... So I've been a member of lifestyle fitness for 3 years. I've just missed a payment this month. You then charge me a £25 'administration fee' for the pleasure. I phoned the very unhelpful finance team who said that its in my contract and there is nothing that I can do......Ive just cancelled my membership and will be looking for a gym that doesn't think its a bank. Awful service. Be very wary of any company that thinks this is a good way to treat their members....If you look (as I should of done) at reviews for Lifestyle fitness, you can see that this is a major complaint made to them which you are obviously completely ignoring I will continue to post this review anywhere I can despite them censoring what is posted on their Facebook page. I have been in contact with many other members who feel this way and we will be informing as many as we can as well as contributing to an article about the unethical charges of gym franchises such as Lifestyle fitness which will be forwarded to the press. The gym itself is average and I have no problems finding an alternative gym that doesn't charge abhorrent fees

Horrific

I was 17 and I thought I'll sign up for the gym just after Christmas, I was told buy a personal trainer that she would put me on the £20 a month contract but wasn't told there was a £27 starting fee, I did not sign any contract in to this and even emailed them about cancelling the membership, once I found out they were charging me for the payment bouncing which I didn't know would as I was only expecting £20 coming out of my bank not £47. For someone who's in college and doesn't have a job, even after Christmas I couldn't afford 47 pounds. I phoned up explained that I wasn't told there was a start up fee and I'd never been to the gym so now 8/9 months on I'm £400+ in dept to them as I have no way of paying the "dept" I owe them for this gym memdership to a gym I never Went to and wasn't told the correct information. I think the harland group is no help at all to speak to when I'm trying to sort this mess out, they just turned round and said I was lying and I owed them

Money. For a company dealing with people on a day to day basis they are terrible to deal with. Plus the people at the gym were unhelpful through all of this.

Disgusting Company/gym

After being in hospital and almost dying when my lungs shut down with pneumonia, obviously my first thought was not 'make sure the gym direct debit goes out on time' instead it was being on weeks worth of medication, pumps and oxygen, not to mention a stint in hospital.

Obviously my direct debit failed as I had not been in work, as you would expect and Lifestyle Fitness have stated they will be charging me £25.00. Now, if I had just spent the money I would understand, but being in hospital and all of the above you would think they would have some compassion or empathy, but no!

They are vile human beings and I urge anyone else to consider going elsewhere before going here. Their facilities are not the best either being honest.

Not a fancy gym, no pool, no frills, but if you just enjoy a good run or lift weights, it's perfect. Classes are good and varied and generally really busy, especially body pump, spin and yoga, instructors are friendly and fun, except for the yoga teacher who was moody and rude. Changing rooms aren't amazing, but they're OK. The car park is often full. However the positives outweigh the negatives. It's good value for money, go for it. Word of warning, it's very busy early evenings and you'll hear lots of colourful language in the weights zone!

Terrible

Not a welcoming place. It took 5 attempts to cancel the contract and they still took money out of my bank. Disgusting customer service I will never use them again.

Do Not Be Tricked

Awful gym.. I was rushed into joining a membership that was contracted for 12 months. When I was unable to meet the payments they took £30 more out. Worst membership options out of all gyms. They like to cheat you of your money. Don't be fooled!!!

What A Joke

A shambles of a company. Poor membership management, everything is done via automated processes (from other companies!), very difficult to get anybody speaking sense and knowing what they are talking about (because in most cases they stared that week).

Marketed as a health club, its not. It's just another rubbish gym. FYI - Cardiff Branch

Nice Gym. Rude Saleswoman.

The facilities at this gym are top class, a great functional area and even a separate woman's only room however the woman who joined me up was most unfriendly and blunt which to be honest made me doubt actually joining at all. I found her rude and every time I go quite frankly she looks miserable. God only knows why she's working with people when she doesn't seem to have very good social skills. This is a shame as the other staff are welcoming and friendly and like I said the gym is great. It's a shame one person can ruin it for all.
