Not Bad
I'm not a huge fan of fitness or working out but I don't understand how this product differs from the number of other machines that do the same job.
It's a great piece of equipment that does its job well, but it doesn't stand out from the crowd at all.
In conclusion - it's nothing special, but it's efficient.

I Love This Machine! I've Been In The Fitness Indu
I love this machine! I've been in the fitness industry for many years now and though I think almost all high end machines are nice the Lifefitness X7 is my favorite. No machine is quieter or has a comparible stride adjustment. I have sold just about every highend manufacturer and durability wise this machine is near the top. I've heard manufacturer horrer stories from Precor to Lifefitness to Octane, but most of the time, high end machines in a normal setting will last 10-15 years.

The Body Of My Life Fitness X7 Advanced Elliptical
The body of my Life Fitness X7 Advanced Elliptical Cross Trainer was scratched on installation. There was a loose cable rattle. The machine wobbled. The removable water bottle holders were jammed solid. The "Total Body Trainer" has been useless [Compare it with the Octane Q47e X-Mode which is wonderful]. The "Whisper eStride" is untrue. Stride changes are slow and noisy. The Warranty is poor, with only 12 months labour cover in the UK.There are contact heart rate sensors, but, oddly, they do not work with the heart exercises and the chest strap must be worn.Worst of all - two separate machines developed loud clunking noises. I decided the X7 was not for me demanded the machine be taken away and got a refund. The experience was a huge disappointment. The Life Fitness X7 is NOT recommended.I replaced the X7 with the Octane Q47e which is wonderful.
My documentation clearly stated 12 month's warranty for labour, and two separate machines developed loud clunking, the second one just 10 minutes after a so-called "repair". This machine was a total waste of time and effort. I have a video of the clunking as evidence of it.
The Life Fitness X7 cross trainer actually comes with three years parts and labour and was used by members of the British Team for low impact endurance training in their preparation for Beijing Olympic Games.
