Overpriced And Moody Members!

Only been playing for a few years after giving up football and 4 of us decided last year to move away from our local club, we started on very high handicaps but no playing off 15, Anyway we have played 2 different courses a week for months and decided to play this one.

For anyone like us avoid this club like the plague! The staff are good but you get that feeling like you have done something wrong if you get me.

The course is good to be honest and its a shame I could not really enjoy myself due to unwelcoming feel about the place, it was busy and we spent most of our time waiting and getting moaned at by old men behind us claiming to be members, if I'm honest I was at the point of walking off because I could not enjoy my game.

The price is way way to high for a course of this quality, you can find better for a lot less money and to players like us stay away lads because you will not be able to relax and enjoy it.

Not A Great Course

Lees Hall is a fairly typical Sheffield Course in that it is played around hills and as such, you need to be fairly fit to get around.

Having played the course 2 weeks ago, I was shocked by the lack of grass on some of the greens and the amount of rough recently chopped down.

If you loose a ball now at Lees Hall it is because you have hit one OOB; it is almost impossible to lose one now on the course as there is no rough, anywhere.

The course lacks definition (caused by the lack of rough) and a number of holes (first, second, third and seventeenth for example) are driveable par 4's and the bunkers are shallow and uninteresting.

Socially Lees Hall is still one of the best clubs and if you excuse the course you will have a great time. I play with members there and I enjoy their company every time, but not the course I'm afraid.

Excellent shop friendly and helpful staff. Course in poor condition on temps and mats. Talking to members best time to visit is around there invitation day in June two weeks ether side it's the only time its is worth a visit. Genrally lots better value courses in the area and kept better all year round give it a miss food was cold and slightly overpriced.
