Disappointed With Powakaddy Brand
Bought a lithium FW5i on retirement expecting decent reliability. Two and half years in it started cutting out with no warning. Recently the screen went blank and it let me down mid round.
Paid decent money for this and thought a brand leader might be a safe bet. A very expensive mistake on my part. Do yourself a favour and avoid Powakaddy.

Waste Of Money
I bought the ct6 and including the winter wheels & Accessories I spent around £1200 worse decision I’ve ever made!! The Trolley isn’t stable and continuously tips over and does not run in a straight line. DONT BUY

Battery Life Too Short
They claim the battery lasts a lifetime, well they must mean the lifetime of a bumble bee. Mine packed in after 14 months of moderate use. Avoid like the plague.

Good Trolley But Poor Battery
The problem with a review like this one is that it comes much later after the time of purchase, and things may have changed by now. I picked my Powakaddy Freeway II Lithium a little over 2 years ago on the basis of many positive reviews. The light battery was said to be "27-hole capable" and lasting 3-4 times longer than a comparable acid battery. Well, as it turned out my trolley now runs out of power by the 17th or 18th hole! I also had a few problems with the trolley itself (broken plastic fitting, defective gear box), but I was told in my repair shop that this was rather unusual and probably the result of bad luck (also, my model has a brake, which seems to be more prone to problems). In short, the trolley itself is not bad overall, but the Li battery has ran out of power prematurely - and Powakaddy would not do anything because the 2-year warranty had expired...
Powakaddy positions their golf cart as the best in the market and I purchased a cart with a lithium battery. From the start the battery did not last even 18 holes. After two months the lithium batter died and I returned it for replacement. If you think their lithium batter is bad, wait. Their customer service is non-existent because after six months I still did not get my battery replacement. After my ordeal, I suggest to all to stay away from Powakaddy. Buy anything but not Powakaddy because it's an overpriced piece of junk.

Lithium Battery
I bought a PowaKaddy lithium battery powered golf trolley. It was expensive and I was informed the battery was long life. It was used about 40 times and lasted 4 weeks more than the guarantee and then failed. PowaKaddy refused any repair or refund and they cost nearly £340 to replace. Total waste of money!¬
useful-and agree.. the service and response (through my local pga pro) is well behind others such as go kart who seem to put the customer first)

Lithium battery failed after limited use (but owned for over two years). Control switch had to be replaced as trolley kept moving when supposed to be stopped. Powakaddy offered to upgrade to new model for £169 and I would still have to buy a battery for about £200. Why would I want to do that?
After sales service poor, now looking for another Company to purchase an electric trolley from, any ideas

Beware Of This Product
The best feature is it's compact folding, apart from that this is a very ordinary product beset with problems. My first freeway2 was a lead acid battery version that was constantly stopping and after much complaining it was replaced with a new L.A version which lasted one day, well not one day, four holes to be exact.
I returned it to the selling agent and paid an additional amount to buy the lithium battery model.the battery tends to jump out of it's tray when running over bumpy terrain and cuts out frequently.I have used it for around 170 rounds and the battery has now decided it only wants to do 17 holes, and the last hole at my club is a steep climb.
Now I find a new battery is horrendously expensive.
Rather than buy a new lithium battery I will buy a moto caddy as the extra cost is not that much more than the lithium battery, and other members have had a mainly trouble free run and excellent back up service, something badly lacking with Powakaddy in Australia.
If you are considering buying a Powakaddy, you would be wise to consider an alternative product.

This product is full of design flaws and manufacturing faults. It is a nightmare worsened by very poor customer service. I can only recommend finding another trolley from another manufacturer. I have my money back and will go else where. I strongly suggest you do the same.

the button switch is irritating as you cannot adjust the speed quickly. I found myself quite worn out after struggling with it for 18 holes. Liked the Lithium battery as it is very light.

Q&A
Can the interior batteries in the case that fits the Freeway II be replaced? Without paying the $400 US here in America?
