Warped Cues
I've been attempting to purchase a cue for my dads birthday from PowerGlide for over 2 weeks now. Ordered the Assassin cue and a case, got a email in the following days saying they were going to ship the case but the cue would take over 8 weeks!
This was obviously of no use to me or my father as that was well past his birthday. So i sent a email to complain as this should have been made clear on the website before i ordered the cue.
Got an email back from Mr John Carney the marketing manager for PowerGlide stating that this was a timing issue as they had sold out the same night i ordered, and he offered a different cue in its place. I accepted the offer as i just wanted my dad at least to get some sort of gift around his birthday.
The cue was dispatched out and i was quoted by John that it would arrive on 04/04/2014 so i asked a family member to wait in on that day to receive it. It did not arrive and instead arrived 3 days later on 07/04/2014.
So after waiting and being messed around with delivery dates i was just happy to hear that he had got the cue, only to have him call me 5 minutes later to say that it was warped. He was deeply disappointed by this as he was initially very pleased when he finally got it delivered.
So again i email John Carney to express my dissatisfaction at the service an the product that PowerGlide and the Unicorn group who manufactures the cues has given me and my father.
By this point John Carney is being pretty unresponsive and taking hours to reply to my emails. Always giving excuses and saying he had been in meetings, by this point i was pretty sick of the excuses that i kept being fed by this company as a whole.
John offered to send a replacement cue out again and have it delivered urgently, and at my request the promise of a tracking code so i could see when it would arrive. He didn't respond with this tracking code for 4 days and so i waited a further 5 days for delivery of this cue.
Finally got the replacement cue and this cue was warped also.
I've requested a refund from John Carney and the contact details of the complaints department within Unicorn Group because it's clear i cannot get anything done by speaking with John.
So having dealt with PowerGlide and Unicorn Group and i can only insist to anyone thinking of buying one of there products, dont waste your time and don't waste your money for what is clearly a inferior product that has no quality checks.

Wonderful Cue
Powerglide Axas 3/4 AU$429
Very asthetically pleasing cue. Plays very well with a great feel and response from the cue. Splicing is of a high quality as are the materials used. Would definitely recommend this to a friend.
Only thing i didnt like about the cue was the tip that came with it :-P which was absolute rubbish. Changed to a talisman med. which is much better.
One more thing which could have been better..... I very much would have rathered a natural oil finish on the shaft. Apart from this, i cant fault the cue to the best of my knowledge and experience.

Dont Think The Other Guy That Left A Review Bought
dont think the other guy that left a review bought a powerglide cause they cost alot more than £70.00.. and if he bought it secound hand that explains the wear and rough edges, i would never buy a secound hand cue unless it was off a friend and i seen the cue and played with it first hand

When I Worked At Snooker Hall About 20 Years Ago P
When i worked at snooker hall about 20 years ago powerglide was the best cues ive ever seen. just started playing again and purchased a powerglide status off the net, to my horror this cue is so poor , not just for the money £70.00 i paid. but the butt has a slate inlay thats you can feel the edges of when you rub fingers round, the inlay is the same, the metal joint is the same, the luster is poor,if this isnt a copy, all i can say is shame on youl powerglide you use to be the very best.
