Grays Pro Performance is a very good helmet. I bought it on recommendation from a Magazine that I get (The Cricketer International) about four months ago. I bought it because I play for a small team in my village in Somerset, UK, where I had a nasty knock to head with a Cricket ball that made me decide it was time to buy a helmet. I tried on several types at a shop in Taunton, including a Gun and Moore and a Masuri, however the Gray Niccols was best for me because of a good price (£44.95), and because it was the best fit, the most comfortable and it did not seem to get in the way as much as the Masuri or the Gun and Moore. Also, Other helmets have straps that are quite fiddly and difficult to adjust, but with this helmet there were no problems. I bought it right away and tried it at my club the next Saturday. When you are using it, the helmet is really light and I almost forgot I was wearing it! The only problem with it was that during the game, it stopped me hearing my captain shouting not to run, so I was run out because the helmet impairs your hearing a little bit. Apart from that It is probably the best helmet you can buy!
