Hobie Mirage i9s

I own the kayak 3 years now, bought it new from dealer in Romania.

It had a leak (from new) in-between the outer pvc shell and the inflatable bottom/keel, so it was impossible to repair without cutting the outer shell first, which i did after the deflation time lowered to max 1 hour, the kayak becoming in time unusable.

Other bad aspects: made in China, the logos had no UV protection, they look like ..., u can't even read the hobie name on them now, one spot has bad overlapping of pvc sheets, u see the glue.

It tracks bad, it paddles worse, speed with standard fins is low, i bought turbo ST fins, the ropes that control rudder need great power to work because they go through pvc not hardplastic.

DON"T BUY IT, get a sport or a revo11 if you want a small Hobie kayak, or better a ocean kayak trident 11.

Hope that helped, maybe just my kayak was sold in Romania because they thought they get away with customer service anyway, at 2400EUROS , MY GOD!I won't buy a hobie again!
