Hi, hope you get your money back as I did, trouble is there is no way of tracing them as they are using a virtual address

Company Is A Fake- Avoid

Having paid for cover in Nov 2012 I wanted to arrange a call out. They DID NOT answer the phone. 24/7 CLAIM LINE DOES NOT EXIST. Gave up after 3 days. Company registered address is used by 4,000+ other people!!!. Now trying to legally get my money back. BEWARE- YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY

Total Scammers!!!

I took this landlords boiler insurance policy out in October believing I was getting a good deal with 14 months for the price of 12, which also covered central heating, plumbing and electrics. As I also wanted to get the best deal I decided to pay the £200 up front rather than increased rate monthly instalments, however the credit card facilities were down so I transferred straight into their bank account as they suggested.

Four weeks later and after many many phone calls I had still not received email confirmation or insurance documents through the post. It was increasingly difficult to get my phone calls answered and emails sent via their website bounced back. Another email address I had for them sent ok but I still did not receive any replies.

The out of hours number, the same number for the day is never answered which is a huge problem as this is supposedly the number to call in emergencies. When the phone is eventually answered and I have asked to speak to a manager I am given a different story each time, he is in a meeting, on annual leave, out of the office e.t.c. Four times I have been promised a phone call back and I am still waiting!!

After reading the last review I am in no doubt I have been conned so for anyone looking for boiler cover please do not use this company as you will be wasting your money!

Sorry to hear you have had the same experience, as I was. I was lucky enough to be able to do a bank indemnity claim to get my money back and since I wrote my original review, I checked out their address and it is a virtual address you purchase on the internet. These people need to be caught!!!

Www.boilerbreakdowncoveruk.com - Scammers Do Not Sign Up

Came across this company when searching for new boiler breakdown cover. Girl answered and sounded ok but not very professional, but boiler cover price was unbeatable so I signed up and gave them my bank details for the direct debit. Was told by her that she would e mail and confirm order, no e mail arrived so I called and was then told all documents would be posted to me. Two months payments went out and still, no documents or policy number from them so naturally became concerened. Tried to call them and for a week, just kept getting a recorded message saying lines were busy. This was the same number to use if your boiler broke down, so as you can imagine, I was glad it hadn't as I wouldn't be able to reach them to request an engineer.Tried to call them the next week and the same all lines were busy so i e mailed them using the e mail address supplied on the website and it bounced back as no such address. I then realise I had been scammed and they were just thieves taking people's hard earned cash by direct debit and conning them in to thinking they had boiler cover when they hadn't. I contacted my bank immediately and told them and did an indemnity claim for the full amount I had paid to them. Luckily I got my money back and my bank have placed an alert on them so they can't try and reset direct debit. I am not usually gullable but a lesson learned to stick with well known reputable companies, even if it costs a little more. Even e mailed them on another e mail address to tell them i had claimed my money back and never heard from them again. I have now gone back to Domestic & General and pay a little more but their service is impeccable. I just wish I had stayed with them in the first place.
