Hoburne, Torbay

Me and my family had a great time here lots to do two pools were both great and clean,park very popular with my little boy also so was indoor play area.There is lots of great places near by to visit too we enjoyed woodlands theame park,Brixham,Torquay . We have stayed at many caravan parks and this is our favourite we are returning this year.

when we arrived at torbay we had expected it to be quite a bad standerd, but i was wrong the place was fantastic the staff were excelent and the caravans were excelent, we had gone for a silver (c) caravan it was as clean as a wistle the entertainment was a bit childish like bingo and singing when when it got later in the night it was fantastic the swimming pools were of great standered and cleaned every morning. the resturant as a bit pricy but the beach hut cafe was good value and good products, their were lots of place to go if your under 16 like the park outside or the amusments, the place did offer me wifi as i went with the hoburne company otherwise you have to pay but i was a bit dissapointed when i found out it was really slow, their also was a lot to do outside the park like the beach and quay west (which is a big waterpark) and the steam train. you can get to all these by walking so transport is not a problem. if you have any more questions about hoburne i will be happy to give you my advice just contact me on [email protected]

Our Family have visited the Hoburne Park at Christchurch twice and were greatly impressed with it.So much so we decided to visit Hoburne Torbay.We expected the same high quality we experienced at Hoburne Christchurch.We were sadly very disappointed.So much so we left a day early.

The caravans unlike at Hoburne Christchurch, were placed much nearer together therefore making privacy virtually impossible.Our caravan was next to a guy and his Family who was constantly on his mobile,outside our caravan and would be outside at 6am waking us all up as he talked incessantly on it very loudly on and off through out the day and evening.Sometimes he would come round to the car parking space which was directly facing our caravan door and sit in his car with the window open just making non stop phone calls to workers at his business.He would stare directly into our caravan as that was his line of view so no privacy at all.

The beds were noticeably smaller than Hoburne Christchurch and with two teenage sons unlike Hoburne Christchurch where you could take the unit between the two beds away to make a bigger bed the units here were fixed, so no chance of doing that.No one slept well and we had to give the double bed to our over 6ft son and sleep on the settees in the lounge.The other son had to bring the mattresses in from his room and sleep in the lounge with us. All this could have been avoided if the unit between the two beds was not fixed to the wall!

Seagulls were a very big problem constantly screeching and pooping on our car but we appreciated that was unavoidable unlike the guy with the mobile.

The shop on site was expensive and not a particularly good range of stock available there.A complete waste of money and we all feel so tired that we have come back feeling we need a holiday!

e been going here for the last 8 years but found it has gone downhill this year,adult entertainment is rubbish,nothing to do during the day(unlike previous years)went into bar on numerous occasions during the day only to find it didnt open untill 1pm which when the sun is shineing you can sit on the balcony haveing a relaxing drink and take in the veiws also the bayview resturant/bar didnt open untill 5pm and this was always open during the day.we have made friends with many people over the years who like us always take our holidays the 1st week of july and all said they were dissapointed this year and would not return again.it is a shame because the site is lvely and could not be in abetter location(nearby beach/facilitys)

while park was clean and caravan were lovely , the beds were really uncomfortable . the entertainment for kids was rubbish my 5 year old spent whole holiday in soft play area as there was nothing else for her to do ... we normally go to haven where the kids entertainment is non stop through out the day and we cant get my 5 yr old daughter off the dance floor or the stage.. will never be going back as restuarant and take aways closed through oot the day though advertised as open on the actual camp site they wer only open in the evening ... if weather good there are loads of places off camp that are good to visit but if weather bad camp boring

We have just returned from Hoburne Torbay and have had a fantastic time.Our caravan was really clean,normally when we go to a caravan park i have to clean it properly before we unpack but not here.Pools were clean with lifeguards indoors and out.Our girls are 12 and loved the fact they could go around the park on their own.We had peace of mind with the security on site.Clubhouse is small but we always managed to get a table even when we went in at 8.30,entertainment was good especially when it was the entertainment team.Overall i would recommend this site to couples and families.

This camp site was somewhat disappointing to me and my family. The entertainment venue was far too small to accomadate for the amount of guests on the camp site during the busy summer holiday period, therefore you had to arrive at the entertainment venue at 5.30pm to get a seat (especially as we are a large family) which made the day very rushed to get dinner etc. Not much to do during the day especially as it rained for the majority or our stay and there was minimal activities for children to do to keep them happy and occupied. All staff seemed miserable and very un welcoming. Reception staff was extremely un-useful when we asked them questions as they could not give us a response due to lack of knowledge. Security staff were completely over the top and management staff were even worse as on several occasions they kicked off at guests and used foul language (swearing) and violence infront of young children. I can honestly say the only thing we do not have a complaint about is the staff in the shop on the camp (costcutters) they were extremely friendly at all times and could offer advice and help on the location and things to do. Overall a very poor experience and I would not recommend this to families with children.

First time we had been to this site have previously been to John Fowler s we were pleasantly suprised we booked through a seperate holiday company and had to pay for bedding and wi fi so would recommend looking into booking straight through Hobourne.All staff were friendly and helpful the site offered enough to do during in the day if you didnt want to leave the site the walk to the beach is only about 10 to 15 mins and a nice walk.The presence of security guards around really gives the site a safe feeling will definatley be going back. And would recommend to anyone .

great park, great staff. BIG outdoor pool and bigger indoor pool. My kids loved every minute of our two weeks and they didn't want to come home!

Two weeks worked out at just under £900 amazing value given the facilities on site.

Kids clubs, evening entertainment - everything to suit everyone!

We visited Torquay, Brixham, Woodlands, Dartmouth and the spotlessly clean Blackpool sands beach - we did what we wanted when we wanted - can't wait to go back next year!

It is a great capsite, fun and enjoyable for all ages, i would recomend this site to a wide range of people it is a great place to get away for the whole of the family. The only problem i discovered was, once being there i did not want to leave and go back home. The facilities aviable are brilliant and you never seem to become bored, i believe it is brilliant how afternoon clubs and activities are avilable for children, (such as treasure hunts etc.)I believe the entertainment does end slighlty to early for my liking but others would disagree, it is such a gorgeous well kept site, and i am sure everyone who takes a vacation there would most certainly enjoy it.
