Pontins, Prestatyn

The place should be closed down. I went in 2017 it was filthy. Left within 10 minutes of arriving. Ants everywhere rubbish everywhere ,beds filthy bathroom filthy. Worst place on earth. Please avoid going there. Nothing good to say about the place. Please take notice of all the terrible reviews they are 1 million percent true. Go somewhere nice like with Haven.

An absolute dump! Arrived friday 3rd nov and reported missing lightbulbs and broken light fittings. Had to buy scented candles to get rid of the rotten smell in the apartment which had supposedly been cleaned as the floors were still wet when we entered it! (Cleaned with a decomposing mop more like and under the mattresses were a mass of crisps, blobs of chewing gum, dust etc) Its now Saturday night and still waiting repairs!Good job we bought the candles! The apartment is freezing with gales blowing through frames and cracked window panes and last night we used 'their' pillows for draught excluders as we brought our own bedding which is the only clean and comfortable thing here.

The toilets in the entertainment building are filthy and we drove back from there to use the one in the apartment when we went out for 40 minutes last night as there is a morris dancers championships competition being held here. We could not have picked a worse weekend or site!

As for this place having a revamp and carpets fitted etc in the entertainment building, play area etc they could have tryed doing something with ALL apartment blocks inside and out. You would find better fixtures and fittings in the local secondhand shops. Resembles a concentration camp...

Now packing up and going home after exactly 29 hours and full of bites!!!!!

DISGUSTING ACCOMODATION! After a weekend away I’m glad to get home for a shower. Bathroom only consisted of a bath that I wouldn’t wash my dog in, toilet was badly stained. Dirty windows that doesn’t look as though they have had a clean for months. The kitchen consisted of 2 breakfast bowls, 4 plates, 3 cups, 2 glasses when this chalet was suppose to accommodate 8. What really worries me is that I’ve arrived home with bites which makes me concerned as my 18 month old grandson was staying in this disgusting accommodation too. Definately in need of a revamp or more care and time taken where cleanliness is concerned. Just glad I took my only cleaning products and made it clean for us to stay in.

This was failure from arrival no customer service!the place is a dump! The apartments are not fit for n animal this place needs completely revamping

We had the best time at pontins the best park is prestaty sands we have been to a lot of pontins over the time love it here a lot to do here love playing bingo and going to the lovely beach the blue coats are the best and work very hard we think the disco is lovely every night we will be back again thank you very much for a very lovely time see you all soon

stinks and is utter filth the dogs home is cleaner got food poisoning was left with no kettle for a week no pillows on bed was sticking to the floor with the dirt had to leave early as all had food poisoning and was passing blood stay away

I booked 5 apartments for my family to celebrate my 80th birthday.I live about 12 miles away and have 9 great grandchildren,so wanted my whole family and as they were from 5 weeks old to 12 yrs old had the idea to have an apartment for each family.

The apartments were fine..the only criticism I had was that the upstairs ones had spaces between the panels on the balcony which a young child could squeeze through and fall.I think it would be safer with mesh covering each space up.

There was no facility for breastfeeding a young baby privately..my granddaughter had to go to the toilet to breastfeed .

I used the Java lounge for a sandwich lunch and found it expensive and too small to cater for a big number ,there were over 20 of us.

Also I had to have cash,and paying for lunch for everyone and then in the restaurant for dinner was upsetting as had to go to the Link machine ,paying £1.95 to withdraw money...why couldn't we use a debit card which will only withdraw money if there is sufficient funds to cover.....the restaurant bill for the dinner was almost £200 and then drinks in the Queen Vic.so had to spend money each time to get.

If you can sort out these problemsI think people would spend more if they can use a card and maybe put it on a tab.

A lot of folk don't carry large amounts of cash these days so think you could get more up to date.

The staff were very friendly and the apartments clean.

We have just spent 4 days at Pontins Prestatyn and it was the worst holiday ever. We had no electric for nearly two days. There was a football tournament on and the teams were allowed in the swimming pool covered in mud - how disgusting. We were kept out of the main entertainment area one night (guards on the doors) as they gave a football presentation. We were kept up until 2.00 am in the morning with people shouting and running up and down the landing by our flat. Customer service is not on the top of the Pontins list as after complaining the best they could do was to say sorry!!! We should have been told when booking that this event would impact on our holiday and that the entertainment services would not be available for the full duration of the holiday. I would never ever go to Pontins again - I recommend Butlins it is absolutely great.

After reading the reviews i was weary about going but I had nothing else planned for half term! Just got back!had a fab time blue coats worked extremely hard making sure my children had the best time! Really enjoyed the entertainment. Very affordable, plenty of food staff very welcoming! We have had a great family time, can't wait to go back.

Place was great for family entertainment. If you look for problems i'm sure you will find them but if you go to enjoy yourself you will. It needs a bit of work doing to décor. it is what you pay for, a cheap holiday but the evenings are very entertaining for family members of all ages. Don't go there expecting the Ritz or it to have Alton Towers in the park it is basic but is a good place to put your head down for the night after enjoying an evening.
