Comments On A Trial Set-up In The Garden

the claims that this tent is easy to erect are nonsense. an enormous amount of force is required to get the second ends of the poles into their eyelets, in fact enough force to eventually snap the poles which i think will be inevitable after not much use. at least you can buy replacement poles but you will then have the problem of trying to rethread the shock cord.i think a lot of people are going to have a nasty surprise and a spoilt weekend through this problem.

Punches Above Its Weight And Price.

I'm reviewing the upgraded 2016 Eurohike Avon Deluxe. In its class, hard to fault this lovely, uncomplicated, well made tent. I bought it for just me, so space is palatial. Huge porch and with the addition of king poles you can hook the front door up to use as extra usable sitting, chilling space. Plenty of ventilation options, windows with curtains. I paid £50 in the sale for this tent and am chuffed to bits. I've had Eurohike tents before and have found them to be sturdy and waterproof, perfect for the 3 season camping I do. I'm sure this one will perform comfortably.

One Of The Better Ones

Having slept in quite a lot of tents in my time, (of the top of my head about 10), in both new style and old style tents and having spent lots of holidays camping as a youth, in youth groups, and as a teen and adult, on festivals and on surf trips and hiking trips I can say this is one of the best tents I have owned for its size.

If you are familiar with dome tents then you will find this no problem to put up at all. With two people working on it, you can have it up in 10 mins. Last time I put it up it was very windy (20mph of wind) and we still got it up and ready to sleep in in 20 mins with only minor adjustments. It has never let me down due to the weather and stays perfectly dry. Unlike some of the older design dome tents you erect the out dome first making a dry place to put up the inner compartment, which clips on easily. The porch ground mat is a great addition too.

Big enough to fit 3 but if you prefer to glamp then you can fit a double air bed in with room to put both peoples luggage down either side of the bed. The side door of the porch is a nice touch to as it keeps the inner sleeping area nice and dry and alows more room for storage in the porch area. It also quite light for its size and easy to pack away and hike with.

As I said this is a great tent for its size. There are defiantly better tents out there, ones that you can stand up in or that are more comfortable but not for this price or weight. It's a great alround tent wether you glamping, going to a festival, going away for a weekend and especially if your restricted on space.

As A Keen Outdoor Persuits Enthusiast I Have To Sa

As a keen outdoor persuits enthusiast I have to say this is one of the better tents I have owned in it's class, after a 'dry run' erecting it in my garden to familiarise myself with it,(this is always a good idea) I had no problems erecting it in the dark with the aid of a small headtorch.

Really great value and has a vast porch area that swallows my gear, my wifes and our childs no problem, I would reccomend this tent to anyone into camping out for the weekend in the British climate, I doubt it would stand up to more extreme conditions but this was not it's intended purpose.10 out of 10.

I Have Purchased Many Avon Tents For Bronze Dofe.

I have purchased many Avon tents for Bronze DofE. It is lightweight for its capacity and is able to sleep 4 in spite of calling itself a 3 person tent. It also has the advantage of a large porch where all rucksacks can be stored.

I have been unable to find another tent to match this Eurohike Avon tent for the purpose I use it for and I highly recommend it.

Very Big Porch On Front. Only One Door Which Is On

Very big porch on front. Only one door which is on the side, it wouldn't be very good for a camping expedition where it would have to be put up and down every time you wanted to go to sleep. Overall, the Eurohike Avon is a very large good value for money tent, that is if you can get hold of one.
