Stands Strong And Dry.

We are currently in the south west of France, we have been battered by a couple of 60 mph storms and not a sign of water or damage.

This tent is easy to erect and we have the extension and I would highly recommend this as we use it to eat under when it rains or store our bikes under on a night time.

This is the second set of bad storms we have had in France in this tent, last time we were in the Pyrenees and this tent stood strong and dry there too.

This tent is fab.

The Outwell Montana 6 Must Be The Best In Its Class

We love our monty 6. We have now had it for 2 years and we have the front extension which I use as a kitchen/diner. The side porch we use as an ensuite for our camping loo. We camp a lot with friends and can easily fit 8 in around the table for dinner. It has done us proud and happily stood up to 70mph wind and torrential rain for 3 days during our last trip. Sadly our friends we went with had to put their Coleman in the bin on the way home. That weekend we were the envy of the campsite. The bedrooms are really spacious, as there is only 2 of us we use the 2 bedrooms as one.

I would recommend getting the carpet too.

It is at the higher end of the price range for polyester tents but I would have happily paid double for mine.

If you are looking for a warm, comfortable and spacious home from home look no further, I dont have a bad word to say about it apart from dont follow Outwells pitching instructions watch the man at Yeomans on utube and you cant go wrong

Last Tent Standing

Thank God for the Outwell Montana 6, The three of us and the dog went camping in extreme weather last week, not our intention but the winds went up to 50 miles a hour, it was the scariest night of my life. Not a scratch on our tent, where all the other tents around us had all ripped or collapsed. The Montana 6 is very robust great quality tent. Loads of room, I would definitely recommend this tent, but would definitely not recommend camping in high winds.

Overall Size

Put it up for the first time and well impressed with the size, it was a still day but still could have managed in 45 mins. Did not find any nasty surpises but did find like onother reviewer the porch was difficult to do.

The other thing worth mentioning is the other person with me is only 5ft tall and strugled to zip the main door if I had unziped to the top as there is quite an angle so to reach the top is nearly 7ft.

I would have liked to know if one person could erect the tent as I may be going on my own sometimes with perhaps some instructions

Montana 6 Good, Outwell Company Useless

Tent is great as a design but once you require parts you're right out of luck. Very expensive tent but unfortunately we had a mishap with the outer at just over 1 year old (by 2 weeks).

No-one would come back to us and Outwell no longer have the outer tent available to buy. They refuse to respond of give advice of whether the extension will even fit newer models. A waste of £700.

I would not buy from Outwell if I'd know that the tent manufacturer cannot supply new outers and simply suggests I buy a whole new tent again!

I used to have an Aztec which had a mishap after 3 years and they still got me a replacement

Never buy an Outwell unless you're well insured to replace the whole thing.

Took The Montana 6 Out For Its First Use This Week

Took the Montana 6 out for its first use this week for 4 days in North Norfolk. Put it up in a reasonable breeze, initially tricky (remember, this was the first attempt) but got it up in reasonable time. It is great that it pitches all as one, no faffing with groundsheets. The living area is huge, loads of headroom, loads of space. We had 2 adults, 1 three-year-old and a baby in one bedroom, the 'kitchen' in the other. The main bit had 3 chairs, a table and other stuff, still plenty of room. The windows are great as they can be sealed, opened or mesh vented - really handy on a hot day. Luckily we managed to have the end door open pretty much all the time so even more air flow.

I have only one slight negative -and this could be an error on my part. The porch pole seems to push hard against the fly sheet which distorts the shape of the door zip, making it harder to close.

Overall, great tent and a good price after an internet search!

it is easyer if you close the porch door when errecting the tent and also relise the tension straps on the two black caps where your porch frame goes into hope it better next time for you as we got the same tent and love it xx

Having Spent Several Months Looking At Many Tents,

Having spent several months looking at many tents, I finally decided upon Outwell Montana 6 sue to its spacious interior and reviews on the internet.

Also purchased the footprint groundsheet which helps when pitching as you can position it first without having to worry too much about the tent. As part of the searching I came across video footage on you tube that shows a man from Yeomans erecting the tent on hos own. I followed his approach (rather than the outwell suggestions) and erected it for the first time in under 40 minutes. It is much easier to erect than previous tents I have owned. The only thing I wish I had checked prior to purchase was the actual dimensions as it only just fitted on our lawn.

We Love Our Montana 6, It Easily Sleeps A Family O

We love our montana 6, it easily sleeps a family of 5, with room in the central area for a 6 seater table. The carpet is a must as it adds warmth underfoot and reduces the risk of holes in the ground sheet. The sewn in ground sheet makes it dry in wet weather and keeps the wind out. We have to front extension to cook under and use the side entrance to store food, cooking utensils etc. The tent has zip up fly sheets so you can have ventilation with your tent becoming full of insects. It is quite heavy to erect so a job for 2 adults but it is not difficult especially if you watch the videos of erecting the tent, and more importantly getting it back in the bag afterwards, on youtube. Several of our friends have now purchased a montana 6 after seeing ours!
