Very Poor Quality
i am a regular camper , i bought this tent for family trips away , we have used the tent 3 times , it is very easy to erect and very quick , a great size etc , as for the hydrastatic head being 3000 and therefore should be very waterproof is a joke , this tent leaks all over, not just the seams , the fabric just dosnt hold water, it also dosnt stand up to wind very well , i have to say it was very windy but this tent could not cope , two of the poles snapped, the inner support snapped and the pegs are also useless , the guy ropes just came out of the ground, if your planning on camping in england , dont buy this tent, great for calm sun shiny days but thats all
I have to disagree, our 800DLX has never leak, we have stayed dry and comfortable in many a thunder storm not one leak to be seen.
we have had it erected in winds, high winds and with all guide ropes tight not as problem.
this tent has provide great shelter for my family over 20 times in the time we have owned her. not once letting us down in any way.
You sure ur talking about the exact same tent? The Vango Vista 800 DLX has been discontinued for a few years now. Replaced by the Vista 800. We had the 800 DLX for 6 years now and used it many times and its never leaked and nothing has broken.

The Vango Vista 800 Dlx, Is A Superb Large All Rou
The Vango Vista 800 DLX, is a superb large all round tent, with bags of space and great value for money. However, due to its size, it definitely needs a minimum of 2 adults to erect it, more if a wind gets up. It comes in its own bag, that contains everything you need to set it up. I would suggest that you purchase better tent pegs, as the ones supplied buckled quite easily.
It has its own built in groundsheet and 4 individual rooms that sleep 2 each, or a combination thereof. Plenty of living space in the centre of the tent, we had 6 adults sitting round a table, plus cooking stuff and we did not feel cramped. It is light and airy as the centre panel of the tent roof is white.
The TBS (Tension Band System) works in a fashion, sadly on our last outing it was quite windy, and one of the straps ripped away from the tent side, even though it was being used correctly. We had no problems at all with leaks, and believe me it chucked it down all the weekend we used it.
The only drawback we have found, is trying to put the tent back into it's bag :-))
Overhaul, this is still an excellent tent, and one I would recommend to anyone.

I Found This Vango Vista 8 Man Tent Easier To Put
I found this vango vista 8 man tent easier to put up than the 4 man tent that I also own. It has plenty of living space and the access is easy with one tunnel entrance and another on the other side. I am 6ft 3inches tall and although I can not stand upright in it the height didn't feel cramped at all. With a white roof the living space is not affected by colour of the sun coming through a coloured panel so being stuck inside on a rainy day is no problem. Great tent. Would recommend.

Vango Vista 800 Dlx Is A Great Family Tent. T
Vango Vista 800 DLX is a great family tent.
This was our first camping trip with the Vango and it proved a very good tent. We are a family of four with two young children and the tent proved to be a very good size. Three bedrooms were used, with the fourth used as storage. Erection takes two but is fairly straightforward, just get the kids off playing to allow you to crack on. The living area is big we had chairs, cooker and table up with still loads of room. Roll on France next year. Bargain £149 from Go outdoors, buy it.

Excellent All Round Tent, But Very Disappointed Wi
Excellent all round tent, but very disappointed with the multiple leaks (may be just a one-off tent). The basin shaped ground sheet whilst keeping out slugs / bugs etc, also served to keep the water in! Not very impressed!

Cracking Tent Now 5 Years Approx Old Used Yearly B
Cracking Tent now 5 years approx old used yearly by the Scout group I quartermaster for.
we have used 2 of these in all manner of conditions, also make a great base camp due to versability of design.
A problem is the design of the valise, the poles are stored along the spine and when the valise is dropped or bumped due to the weight this did cause the poles to splinter and shatter

Whilst other campers were drying out their sleeping bags after a very wet and very windy night near Brecon in South Wales. Our Vango 800 stayed watertight and intact. Quality. Recommend to anyone.

The Vango Vista 800 Dlx Tent Has Bags Of Living Sp
The Vango Vista 800 DLX tent has bags of living space. In fact, on one camping holiday, we had 12 adults sat on chairs in the central area. The TBS certainly worked for us. Our companions had a hole ripped in 1 tent and the other was blown over. Ours did have some slight damage in extremely strong winds, but on the whole it was insignificant compared to those without the TBS in their tents.
The tent is very heavy due to its size, and it definitely needs a minimum of 2 adults to erect it.
We have now upgraded to a caravan, but we have no hesitance in recommending this tent to anyone who is interested. The extra cost is worth it for the durability in adverse weather conditions.
