Love This Airline
As a Regular traveller I have tried them all, but I come back again and again to this airline.. Why because they are reliable, honest and treat you with respect. I cant say a bad word against them.
Cancelled Flight
They cancelled my flight to London Stansted from Belfast. They should never have taken my money and I've been waiting for over a month to get my money back. DO NOT EVER USE!
Bmi Baby Lack Of Info Regarding Belfast Issue
i booked a flight for my family of six for june 2012 with bmi baby but on may 4th i heard flights had brrn cancelled so i rang number given on tv to find out if my flights were safe.no one at this number informed me only belfast flights were affected and i was told to book more flights with another company.because of lack of information i booked them all again with thomsons costing me another £1400!there was no number given on tv for the uk and no one made it clear that this issue was only from belfast.bmi baby were not at all helpful i couldnt even understand them and i could not speak to a manager.i have sent them e-mails and had no reply!i have also put my complaint in writing and i think they treat people disgustingly,this is a case of bmi not giving out the correct information and how was anyone supposed to know they were actually ringing belfast!this was my family holiday and i cannot afford to pay twice because i was given the wrong advice by bmi.i need a full refund from bmi and i will seek legal advice now to retreive my money by hook or by crook i am not going away.

I flew on WW5821/5824 from East Mids to Glasgow yesterday coming back today. After flying with Ryanair so many times I had finally caught a cheap return ticket advertised on Bmibaby.com for about 54GBP including all fees. I have to say that Bmibaby does not offer, in general lower fares than Ryanair because its hard to find that low price when you book it. However, both my flights were on time and arrived early, possibly because they are smaller airports, less hassle. The crews at least give you a degree of smile, and seems happier than Ryanair FAs. The pilots seems more skillful than Ryanair as to the smooth landing/take off- with considerations to weather, whereas FR's pilots seems a bit like driving a jet fighter. However, WW's plane are way older than FR's but the best thing is that seats seems wider to me and can recline, so if Baby's cheaper I will fly with them
Impossible On-line Checkin
Haven't travelled with them yet. Wonder whether it will be poss despite having paid. They encourage you to check in on-line so far I've tried 5 times and stayed on for an average of more than 45 minutes each time and still not managed to get beyond the second screen. They haven't replied to my email about it.

Non-existent Customer Service
Non-existent customer service! Who-ever runs their Marketing department should be sacked. In this day and age it is completely unacceptable.
- an out-sourced number to a foreign country is the only one available.
- I was offered a postal address or fax number to write to! This is 2012!
- I was given the name Melissa Sharp as the Manager of customer relations at BMI Baby - what a huge amount she has to answer for if she exists!
Not Bad For Price
Cheap-ish and not bad. As long as the flight is fairly short its reasonable, any longer and your legs get sore and cramped.

Bad Customer Service....
delays upon delays...you never arrive at the airport to a plane on time....costs you a fortune should you have as a normal traveler would...bags to check in! Low and behold should you arrive with a kg too much...£8 the kilo!
And don't be lulled into a false sense of security that your bags will be taken care of and arrive at destination WITH you...Oh no, most likely to be be on the next plane or so they say, on a different carrousel for a different flight!
Bmibaby are so thoughtful they thought that a very expensive picture i had done for my brother needed to go into the bin!!! No sincere apologies, refund nothing just a letter stating the facts and telling me to go through an external company to see if there was any possibility of a refund...that's customer service for you...where are the days when the customer was king!

Well Done For Winning The T&c Battle But Loosing A Customer
Hi,
I recently used BMI Baby’s online booking team, what a poor customer service I received, I was booking a Stag doo for 16 people so I could book with a deposit and I was given a fixed price (great) this group size changed so I contacted the bookings team and after a long drawn out process with emails going back and forth (over 5 days) i was advised me I could no longer use the deposit system with a group booking my size, ok fine their system doesn’t accept this with smaller groups I have to pay in full that’s fine……………………. So I go to book and was told my quote had now expired and the price would go up £22.00, I offered to pay in full if they matched my price. I also advised them that Monarch (who I have since booked with – FANTASTIC SERVICE) have matched their price but the flight times BMI offered suited me better, would they match it…………………………… after an even longer drawn out price which go to their contact centre sales manager and the head of operations I have now been told they will not ……….. so they have lost out on a bigger order for the sake of about £22.00 per person. Not to worry the hen group with is 18 confirmed will also be flying with monarch now loosing them over £2000 in sales. Not to worry. I was constantly referred to their terms and conditions which are in place for a reason but what they missed was I was a customer who simply anted to buy from them I wasn’t asking for anything out the practical just a price match for a quote they gave me a few days early which could not be honoured because they were taking so long to answer my question. flights that suited me better
My suggestion to customers is if you have issues with the business you should feedback on Julian Carr (Managing Directors) twitter @jjfcarr and their press office @bmibaby_com. With poor experinces and great ones because its important to be fair when giving feedback.
I appreciate many people have a great experience with BMI and I have flew with them before and been very happy with the service but that has always been when things go right, its very easy to make customer happy when things go right but I always think the true test of good customer service is what a business does when it goes wrong.
SHOP AROUND IF YOU LOOKING FOR A GREAT DEAL, BUT BMI FAIL TO OPERATE A PRICE MATCH PROMISE (EVEN FOR QUOTES THEY HAVE GIVEN)

Was Everything I Wanted In A Cheap Flight
Birmingham to Belfast City and back today and really have no complaints. Plane was on time, staff were pleasent, booking procedure online was easy. I really couldnt have asked for any more so well done BMI.
