No Words To Describe

cut a long story short...on a bussiness trip to fix an offshore tool in cyprus. they lost both my bags on the way there. had my personal belongings, work gear and parts i needed for the job.

I was only there for four days and nothing to change into or contacts ect.

they said they found said bags in paris, BOTH OF THEM. They would BOTH be sent the next day.

One turned up, one stayed in paris!! EH!??

The one they did not send had my personal belongings and my parts for fixing the tool.

The women had no idea why only one was sent but would get the other one sent before i left 2days later.

4days total came and went and i had to leave for the UK again. ive been back 2weeks now and my other bag just turned up yesterday!! Shoking service!

ended up with an eye infection because of lost contacts and not being able to get my prescription in cyprus!

Still waiting to hear back from my complaint email!!

Not Interested In Customers

DO NOT USE THIS AIRLINE ! They decided to cancel a scheduled route from Athens to Heraklion - OK this can happen ( particularly when almost in liquidation ) BUT did they offer an alternative ? NO, they just asked me to ring Cyprus from the UK to confirm the message. I rebooked on Olympic immediately upon advice of the cancellation at a slightly higher rate but Cyprus Air were not even interested in considering a reimbursement of the difference and belatedly paid a basic refund back to my credit card. They just don't care ( or have the finance ) to look after their customers

Excellent Flight!!!

After hearing terrible reviews about Cyprus Airways, I was pleasantly surprised when flying with them on their popular London Heathrow - Larnaca route in July 2013. Check-in was made easy by using the check-in kiosks on both legs of the journey; this small touch made a great start to the holiday compared to the usual hassle of waiting in a long queue at the airport. The modern A320 plane had a fresh and clean cabin which had comfortable, new leather seats with more legroom than any other short-medium haul economy class I've ever flown on. The food was tasty and the cabin crew extremely smiley, friendly and professional. In-flight entertainment was provided which was great, as many other airlines on the UK-Cyprus routes (namely Monarch and easyJet) often don't have any inflight entertainment. Cyprus Airways let passengers book flights up to around 11 months in advanced - the earlier you book, the cheaper the flight. £225 return for a full service airline with a generous 23kg per person baggage allowance is incredible....Monarch were charging £260 from London Gatwick to Larnaca WITHOUT meals or bags or drinks or free seat selection or free headphones.....! I will definitely be flying with them from now on, and encourage others to despite their current problems - they're doing everything they can to become profitable and I am 100% behind my national carrier.

I Found Them Fine, Provided You Check Your Booking.

Booking was a bit odd. I reserved legroom (a free option) but a few months later, the plane make and model had changed, and I was now in a completely different part of the plane. Worse still, our 8 year old daughter had been moved 8 rows in front of us! A quick email got this sorted out though.

Regarding the flight itself, the seats were fairly spacious, so the legroom wasn't really an issue anyway. The food was pretty good, and the staff perfectly friendly. There had been problems at Heathrow that day, but luckily our flight got off without a hitch.

Had the booking process gone without a hitch I would be giving this 5 stars, but putting our daughter away from us like that shouldn't even be possible on a computerised system!

Flight From Larnaca To Paris

I went with cy386 of Cyprus Airways last March on CDG Paris.To the check in was okay just a little problem about some army papers that they needed.then after a 1 and half hour we board on plane get our seats,take off was perfect, food on time,no turbulences on something like that on flight,but the only crab is the dvd that they are showing to you,every seat MUST have their own tv !but i had a great time,polite crew and smooth flight!the price of the tickets was very cheap and now im travelling to london at 26 again with CY because is the only airways that i trust !

Heathrow To Larnaca Business Class

When: Nov 2012

Check in: quick and efficient

Boarding: quick and on time

Departure: two problems : food container was "forgotten" delaying us by about 35 minutes and then the runway was undergoing inspection. All in all we were delayed by an hour.

In flight service: Attentive and polite

Food and Drink : food might need a little work, good range of drinks

In flight entertainment: poor from my point of view ( Ice Age)

General:

I've read some poor reviews but my experience was very good in relation to what was controllable by the airline

Worst Flight Ever!

To start with the check in was ridiculous- took us over an hour to check in and despite a huge queue there were only 2 desks open. Check in staff were unfriendly and forgot to check our buggy in. Then the flight itself- the staff again were rude, unhelpful and unaccomodating. We were thrown the lap belt for our toddler without further instruction. Then they ran out of diet coke and "forgot" to serve a fellow passenger a meal. To top it off the temperature of the plane reached sauna like temperatures and we came off feeling extremely un satisfied with the experience. Shall not be flying with them again.

Flight Attendant Emi Was Very Rude.

I have a comment about the service on the flight from Moscow on the 6/10. Flight attendant Emi was very rude, unhelpful and aggressive when I purchased some goods, she should learn some customer care and loose attitude.

Old plane, but thanks to pilot, smooth flight.

my dear the problem is that they did not have to wait to get this job they had good connections unfortunatly

they are well known by being and arrogant also cypriot people are racists but the problem is that for many years over 25 i have been hearing complaints but no one did anything to see the matter

no wonder they will close down

Me And My Family Have Been Using Cyprus Airways Fo

Me and my family have been using Cyprus Airways for almost 3years and I regret to say that the quality of service has declined steadily.

My mom was supposed to fly over to Cyprus for my wedding and there was a delay of 12 hours from Sofia!!!! The reason - the plane took off from Larnaca with the staff completely aware of the fact that there was a technical flaw with it - the reason - it was much cheaper to repair it after it had landed at Sofia airport. So, to save a bit of money, they made their passengers stay at the airport for 12 hours without providing them with any info.

When my mom finally arrived, completely exhausted and starving (they only had a sandwich for all this time), we filed a complaint at their office in Nicosia. The compensation was 2 vouchers of 50 euros each and we were told that the circumstances were "extraordinary" and we were not entitled to any money refund. We were also told that the vouchers were transferable as long as they had her signature. She used 15 euros of one of them and was issued another voucher for the remaining amount. And guess my husband's and my shock when we were told at the ticketing office that we could no longer use the voucher with the remaining amount of 35 euros and that the only way to redeem the voucher(at least one of them!!!)was at their ticketing office where in order ti buy a ticket we were forced to pay a reservation fee of 34 euros!!!!!!

The problem is that Cyprus Airways is owned by the Cypriot government so there is no institution in Cyprus to complain to.

You should see their service now! its even worse than before. I will be writing a new review on them in the next few days since I had a very bad experience in December.

I have now booked all my flights with Aegean, Monarch and Easy Jet. No need to travel CAirways anymore since they do not offer any better service. Their planes are old and broken, entertainment never works! They now charge for drinks. Pretty crap really.
