If You're Thinking Of Booking Hoppa.com Be Advised
If you're thinking of booking a taxi with Hoppa.com be advised your paying upfront and not much cheaper than a normal taxi on the day, even with their doubled up discounts. We found this out last week in Budapest when taxi did not turn up for a transfer back to airport. Very distressing waiting 1.50hours over pick up time. Hotel called local taxi which just got us to airport on time before gate closing. The taxi actually cost about £6 more than what we were charged by Hoppa.com. After many emails still not had any reply from Hoppa. Also I should mention that we used hoppa.com when we went to Prague in April this year. At the airport we were bundled into a minibus taking us to the Hotel, which should have been a taxi for which we ordered. We complained to the driver, who spoke very little English, he apologise and said there were too many going to same hotel. We therefore did not make a fuss at the time

Just Awful
Was left stranded at our hotel over a hour and a half late. Had to leave our suitcase at the hotel because we would not have time to check it in. I flight time was changed and we changed it with hoppa but they didn't I inform pick up tranfer. We had our 7 children with us it was a bloody nightmare running through the airport like a scene from home alone. complained didn't even bother to get back to us. Never answer their phones do not book with these they are useless. Only just made it by 5 mins I wound never use this company again.

Just Returned From Belamadena. Transfer Time From
Just returned from Belamadena. Transfer time from resort was not sent to our hotel as promised so I rang automated line and received a message stating pick up time at 5.15.
We sat outside the hotel at 4.30 on a bench which was 3 metres from a quiet road and did not move from that spot. At 5.40 when no one had turned up we called the emergency line to be told that the driver had been to the hotel and we weren't there. This was not correct and when I asked for a private taxi the person hung up the phone.
Three years ago we arrived in the same resort and sat on a Hoppa shuttle bus for an hour before unloading our bags ourselves due to the ridiculously long wait. Hoppa in Belamadena are an absolute disgrace and to treat customers in this way is disgusting.

booked a taxi transfer with them (HOPPA which is part of Greenbus) . got to the airport and reported to the check in desk. the lady told us there were no taxi drivers available and it would be at least 1 hour before the was likely to be one. she told us to get a taxi from the taxi rank, get a receipt and then contact them, they would give us a full refund
The driver of the taxi we used said this happened all the time with Greenbus / Hoppa, he said they pray on tourists, telling them to get a taxi from the rank and then don't give them the money back, they offer best rates but don't give you a service
i did contact them, they have ignored all my emails, and so no refund given
there were quite a few people also in the same situation as me and my wife some had children.
on their website there a reviews giving them good ratings, don't believe anything they say
DONT USE THEM GO TO ANOTHER COMPANY

Avoid Like The Plague.
Where to start ! After eventually finding the
Hoppa temporary kiosk in the car park in full sun without any seats,we were told there was a delay!
Should be 20 mins. After an hour waiting they admitted one of their two transports had broken down and they didn't know when we would get transferred .At this stage at least 150 people were waiting and demanding transfers. We all asked if they could get us alternative transfers or taxis.Not possible we were told.Luckily for us we were one of 10 couples transferred 1st two and a half hours later. Not sure how long the other 130 people had to wait. We were assured tho that we would recieve a full refund!!!! Didn't happen and after 3 emails and 3 weeks still no reply from Hoppa. Very dissapointed

Better To Walk
I gave a previous review and would rather walk in the hot sun than use them again.
Review re 'Hoppa'- 40 minutes delay while sitting in smelly, stuffy, mini coach at Malta Airport- driver said to blame his manager (that's alright then)!! He had spent all his time on his mobile, so opinion was that he was maybe running his own business. The mini coach smelled of both stale and fresh cigarette smoke and the 'music' would have been more suited to Guantanamo Bay. Too idle to help me off with luggage, so another passenger assisted me. Return journey was prompt but several more than the advertised four stop maximum, so took ages + I was back, corner seat, so only had half a seat because one leg was over the wheel- incredibly uncomfortable + trip took ages. Agony confirming pickup time on return- website said phone or email- no answer to email- eventually hotel got through on phone. They advertise 95% satisfied- I suggest that is nonsense!

Unhelpful, Disorganised And Uncommunicative
I was not sure if I could leave zero stars so I left 1 but please note if I could leave a minus result I would. I used this company on a recent trip to Malaga. My friends were travelling from another part of the country so I was travelling alone, landing at 22.40 to meet them in a villa in Fuengirola.
I paid slightly more for a smaller mini bus so that I could arrive quickly and safely. I emailed the company with the address and this was all fine, I told them I was nervous travelling alone and wanted to be sure I would arrive safely.
So, I arrived ten minutes early from my flight and found the driver easily. I was the first there and he had my address but I showed him it again. He spoke no English what so ever and looked a little bewildered but ushered me onto the bus. Another 2 separate customers arrived and got on the bus and then we waited and waited and waited for an hour and a half. Then no one else turned up and we left, crazy!
So the 2 other customers were dropped off at their resorts and I am feeling a little nervous as the driver is not communicating with me but hopeful that he will get me to the villa safely. Then suddenly, the driver comes to a halt on a pretty quiet junction with a few closed bars and a taxi rank, opens the door, points to the taxi and shrugs when I try to plead with him not to leave me. Bear in mind by this time it was around quarter to 1 in the morning. I had to pay out more money for taxis and drive another half mile. I was incredibly upset.
I cancelled my return journey and booked a taxi back. I had no response while abroad and no one answered the phone to me at the number I was given in Spain.
I wrote a long letter of complaint but to say I was met with a rude response would be an understatement. The man I dealt with was unhelpful, mocking and even accusatory claiming my flight was delayed as though I was lying! I told him I would provide evidence and that I was very insulted and felt as though there was zero concern for my safety...and guess what? I never heard from them again!!!!

I Would Not Recommend It Even To An Enemy Let Alone A Friend
The pick up transfer never turned up after 3 (!) conversation with the office. 1 hour later then initial pick up time we had to take a taxi to the airport at our expense not to miss the flight. During the last call to the office the customer service rep was on the phone with the driver for 10 minutes and when I asked her where is the driver and how long will it take to get to us she said "I DON'T KNOW"! She spent 10 minutes on the phone with him and didn't ask how far he was from our hotel. Appalling service, never again!

Absolutely Appalling
Booked a transfer from Faro to hotel. Paid extra for 6 person vehicle. Arrived at Faro and waited for more than an hour for the transfer. When it arrived, we had to go on a coach and 13 stops later, more than 2 hours, we arrived hot and tired at our hotel. Never, ever again.

Why Pay Twice The Price Of A Taxi??
Used a taxi from Mahon airport to Cala N Porter - it cost 18€ each way including a surcharge for bags. Hoppa quoted us 73€ return which includes a 20% discount plus they add credit card charges.... You'd be mad to use this company
