Here's our experience of booking with Rio Airport Transfer - 2 people traveling with 4 large pieces of luggage from Galeao airport to Leblon, Rio de Janeiro.

GOOD STUFF

- Easy to use website

- Online payment (secure)

- Easy to locate at the airport

- Nice car/good driver

- Help with luggage

BAD STUFF

- None

USEFUL STUFF

- Our driver spoke some English, but wasn't fluent enough to hold an indepth conversation

- Cars are a good size but probably wouldn't fit more than 4 large pieces of luggage and some hand luggage in the trunk

- Desk located by the customs area at the airport

- Loads of cars on hand at the airport, so little chance of not getting to your hotel if your flight's delayed

If we ever planned on going back to Rio we'd probably book with them again, just for the convenience and because we know it worked the first time.

Would we recommend them to a friend?? Don't see why not.

Being a bit apprehensive of arriving in Rio from the UK alone off a late night flight I booked a transfer to my hotel in Copacabana with Rio Airport Transfers. The service was excellent!

Having exited the baggage claim and customs area, the contact desk is immediately after customs, before entering the meet and great area. The service was hassle free and very efficient and I was quickly out of the airport into the waiting car and on the way to Copacabana.

I would highly recommend using the service which was actually cost no more than some friends had paid to do the same journey in a yellow cab earlier in the day. The journey is fully pre paid, so no need to worry about having a wedge of cash available for a cab as soon as you land.

Having paid for the journey on a UK credit card I wasn't entirely sure how this was going to be processed. However, the transaction went through as a UK transaction, not an international one, so no additional fees/charges or exchange rates applied. Just one more bonus to the service!

we booked these guys to get us to our hotel in Rio. before booking we contacted them by email to ask a few questions about the time it would take to get through immigration, and what type we should request our pick up from the hotel when we were going back to the airport. The reservation team responded really quickly, and in good english, with useful advice.

Their desk is located in the secure bit of the airport, before you leave the doors to the meet and greet, main airport, area, so we didn't have any problem finding them. The girl at the desk didn't speak such good English but she was efficient, contact our driver, who came to get us and took us to the car.

Really nice car, not posh, but leather seats, air con keeping us cool, the driver helped us with the luggage at both ends.

Booked with this company as they were recommended by the people organising the conference I was attending. The online booking tool is simple to use, car and driver was waiting at the airport, nice car, helpful driver(assisted with luggage), dropped off at the door of the hotel.
