El Gouna, Sheraton Miramar Resort

Just back from our 2nd trip to the Sheraton Miramar. Far more families than previously, I expect the euro has encouraged more people here. Lovely room overlooking the lagoon and beach. Plenty of loungers free after breakfast, beach man wouldn't allow reservations before 9am. Windy 4 days out of 14, enjoyed watching kite surfers. On site dive centre was great. Ate well in the buffet- venison, ostrich & camel, pancake man made teddy shaped pancakes for kids at breakfast. Delicious food in the Italian. Staff are the cheeriest people I have met, I felt they must be happy in their work and well treat. Liked the calm evening entertainment, no garish disco. El Gouna is a bit like tinsle town, not really egyptian but suits us for a relaxing beach hol.

Everything is excellent at this fabulous hotel. From the hotel itself, the staff are superb , entertainment , food in and out of the El Gouna Sheraton Miramar Resort is excellent. The rooms are fab , as is everthing .

I can not tell you one bad thing about the El Gouna as there is nothing bad about it , it is excellent in every way. Not one little complaint can i find .

Having stayed at the Sheraton Miramar Resort in El Gouna, Egypt at Easter, I can only say that my family and I were delighted with everything. It is in a beautiful location. The hotel is fabulous, and the staff were wonderful. If you could pick any hotel in El Gouna, do yourself a favour and choose this one. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. We can not wait to return. There is also a great diving centre on site (TGI divers). It really was heaven on earth!

The layout of El Gouna, in the Sheraton Miramar Resort is excellent, and even when full it seems quiet with plenty of room on the beach and around the pools. Breakfast is superb and the evening main meals although buffet style are themed and very good value.

The TGI diving centre is located within the grounds and is well run with 15 litre steel tanks as standard, book a 10 dive package on the internet for best value.

Boat and bus service around the resort is very cheap with the weekly ticket.

Diving is very good with some good wrecks accesible if the weather permits.

We have stayed at the Sheraton Miramar, El Gouna twice - April 03 and October 03.

The hotel is built on nine lagoons and every hotel room is situated overlooking waterways, pools or sea.

The TGI diving centre is located within the hotel grounds for diving and snorkelling trips, although the snorkelling at El Gouna is amazing.

The cleanliness of the hotel rooms are excellent and the grounds are stunning as are all of the hotel pools and beach.

The food in the restaurant is first class, although we stayed bed and breakfast we ate most evenings here. The breakfast is one of the best we have had on our travels (big coffee cups) and plenty of refills.

Make sure to purchase a boat/bus ticket for your stay (this enables you to unlimited travel around El Gouna, day/night) cost 5 egyptian £1 per week.

If eating out be sure to visit Dunes this is excellent value for money with high quality food.

If you need to change money the hotel does not have a bank although any of the hotels will do this for you also ATM machines.

We will be returning in April 05 for what we will be guaranteed, a first class holiday.

This was our second visit to the El Gouna, Sheraton Miramar Resort. Its an excellent hotel and probably will not be our last. The staff were very attentive and could not be faulted. The hotel is built around 9 lagoons and has it's own private beach. The resort of El Gouna is a little quiet but the surrounding hotels offer great eating out alternatives. Highly recommended
