Perfect Place To Stay

The perfect Riad, perfectly placed. Riad Tizwa has been sympathetically decorated to ensure that the charm of this beautiful Riad isnt lost - which is so often the case. Step through the door way into a sanctum of calm where nothing is too much trouble from the Tizwa team. Exceptional Moroccan breakfasts with delicious breads and home made yoghurt and none stop coffee set you up for the day exploring the sights of the amazing city with the Medina literally on the door step. Step back into the welcoming environment of Tizwa after a busy day. We stayed in two different rooms at the start and the end of our holiday (a trip to Essaouira broke the stay and transport was arranged by the amazing team at the Riad) Rooms are just wonderful, really comfy beds in beautifully decorated rooms that emphasise the beauty of this wonderful place to stay. The team are just brilliant and frankly couldnt do enough. Highly recommend a stay.

On Arrival At Riad Tizwa We Were Immediately Made

On arrival at Riad Tizwa we were immediately made to feel at home with some gorgeous mint tea, and shown to our rooms. We asked for a recommendation for somewhere to go for dinner in and within 20 mins a table had been booked for us and we were clutching a map showing us exactly where to go - complete with hand written instructions. The restaurant was excellent and we followed Hassan's recommendations for the rest of our stay. He also recommended a hammam for us, showing us several options online and again, booking for us once we'd picked one.

On our last day we decided to eat at the riad and I can't rave enough about the meal that was prepared for us. We sat up on the roof terrace (where we'd been sunbathing all day!) and had rose petals scattered on the table before the food was served - very romantic indeed! I've been to Morocco before, and eaten my fair share of tagine, and I can safely say it was The Best Tagine Ever. The beef just fell off the bone and the prune and nut combo is definitely something I'll be trying at home!

We were really sad to leave (albeit with their gorgeous local toiletries stuffed in our suitcases!) and we'll definitely be back soon. I can't recommend it highly enough. Just go!

Everything... Calm, Relaxing, Classy, Serene.

Everything... calm, relaxing, classy, serene.

Staff were amazing, cooking was better than all the restaurants we ate at. Breakfast was lovely. We felt safe, secure and part of the family. Congratulations to a winning formula... we cannot wait to return...nothing really - apart from coming home... and grief at the airport... seems to be no hurry...Bad points leaving to come home..... and no pool - it does get VERY hot.

Marrakech Has Many Many Riads, And I Have Stayed I

Marrakech has many many Riads, and I have stayed in about 6 of them... but Marrakech, Riad Tizwa is special. Marrakech is a busy place, but this Riad is very chilled out and a happy place to be. I met the owner, and he really made us feel welcome, as did the other staff at the house.

For the money, you get well looked after and it has lovely lovely touches (e.g. natural handmade soap, beautiful gowns and a funky set of furniture and seating areas).

Accommodation in Morocco can often be a hit or miss... and this is a hit.

I've Stayed At More Than One Riad But Tizwa Is My

I've stayed at more than one riad but Tizwa is my favorite.

I stayed there on 3 different occasions and each time was as memorable as the last. The rooms and beds are really comfy and the communal areas are charming locations for meals and relaxing. All the meals in house were amazing, home made food just can't compete with restaurant fare!

Wireless internet was available and works best downstairs but I would leave the laptop at home and spend time eating the delicious food, using the Hammam, getting a massage and hanging out on the roof top terrace.

The staff are really helpful and give as much personal attention as you need. This helped us organize really fun day trips, including a driver. They also directed us to a couple of good night spots.

I would and have recommended it to my friends.

Recently Spent A Long Weekend At Riad Tizwa , Marr

Recently spent a long weekend at Riad Tizwa , Marrakech, it was my first time in Mororrco and I traveled alone. The Riad and its staff 100% made the trip one of the best I've been on.

Staying in the medina is a magical experience and so different from life in UK. The Riad was stunning, the food was some of the best I've eaten, the other holiday makers were chilled, relaxed and a pleasure to occasionally run into.

The Riad arranged everything for me, from excursions to nights out to changing my currency and still they gave me the information and the confidence to venture out into the medina alone and explore this incredible , colorful , film-like city , which was also wonderful.

By the end of my stay , I wished it was my home and that I didn't have to leave. A beautiful property, stunningly decorated, authentic and friendly.

I don't say this lightly, Riad Tizwa is a little slice of heaven and I intend to visit again and again. No matter what your traveling history, this will impress you, because from the moment you arrive to the second you leave, you feel your every need is being met majestically .

An incredible experience.

I Stayed In Riad Tizwa In Marrakech In Feb 2007 Wi

I stayed in Riad Tizwa in Marrakech in Feb 2007 with my family and we had a great time.

We had firstly thought that we should stay in a hotel in the new bit of Marrakech as we felt that the culture shock of North Africa would be too much but a friend recommended this place, which is more like a private home. Basically, the old town of Marrakech is full of hustle and bustle and can be a bit overwhelming. Thank goodness for this tranquil zone. The house is really chilled out and the staff are laid back. The rooms were beautiful, the dressing gowns lovely and the food was the best Moroccan we ate. Good touches in the house, with roses and petals, only one problem was that it did not have a heated pool.

We feel as if we have now seen a better side of Morocco, rather that doing the hotel thing.
