My Husband And I Chose To Celebrate Our Silver Wed
My husband and I chose to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary at the Almond Holiday Village and the hotel certainly exceeded all our expectations. We received a very warm welcome after a long and eventful journey! This family run business is both caring and professional in its treatment of their guests. The entire complex is spotlessly clean and very picturesque. The food is superb and probably the best food we have ever had on holiday. We cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be returning to the Almond Village in the very near future. If you want complete relaxation in a peaceful location, then The Almond Holiday Village is a must!

Almond Village,
My sister choose Almond Village for the family to celebrate her 65th Birthday. We did see rave reviews on various sites, so thought this should be good, well the family excel in making sure that everything is spot on, food, accommodation, its spotlessly clean and weather permitting we had our evening meals outside overlooking the pool and mountains and to cap it all the cost was so reasonable.

My Daughter (26) And I (58) Have Just Returned Fro
My daughter (26) and I (58) have just returned from our 4th visit to Almond Holiday Village, the last one being 5yrs ago. The host and his family consistently score 10/10 for everything. If you want a relaxing holiday, excellent food and beautiful surroundings, then this is the place for you. Nothing is too much trouble be it a three course meal after a late arrival or emergency hospital visits (last time we visited)! My father (89), husband (59) and son (30) are going out in September for the AHV experience. If you think this praise is over the top then try it for yourself!

We Have Just Returned From A 2-week Stay At Almond
We have just returned from a 2-week stay at Almonds. This was our first time to Almonds ( 5th time the Northern Cyprus) and we knew it was the correct choice from the minute we walked through the reception. We chose to stay Self Catering in a 2-bedroom SC bungalow (purely down to special diet). Accommodation and complex was kept immaculate, spotless and had all the facilities we needed for our SC stay. The views and the ambiance of Almonds was magical. The bungalow had 2 separate bedrooms, separate lounge area, kitchenette with cooking facilities, bathroom, terrace and balcony, so much space! The SC bungalows also have separate parking and also a separate entrance which lead straight to them (you are not allowed to bring your own food/beverages through the main building - thus the separate SC entrance, which we understand thoroughly as the other side of the hotel is BB/HB and to be fair how many hotels in the world will allow you to bring your own food into the complex unless staying SC???!!!). Although we stayed SC we chose to have breakfast and eat at the Restaurant/snack bar a few times and the food was excellent, so good that next time we will definitely stay HB (health permitting!). The family and staff were very friendly and helpful, there was not enough they could do for you. Although we stayed SC and did not spend much at the bar we were never treated any different to others who did. We would highly recommend this complex to anyone. Thank you the owner and his family and staff for a wonderful holiday, we have recharged our batteries and we shall definitely return although we have never visited any hotel twice, this must say something!

We Have Been To The Almond A Number Of Times And I
We have been to the Almond a number of times and in fact held our wedding reception there last year. We would not hesitate to recommend the Almond to anyone one who wants a quiet relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings. Nothing is too much trouble for the family. We have already booked for June 2009

Very friendly nothing too much trouble, the Almond Holiday Village is in a beautiful location, quiet, no rowdy music, food fantastic, chef could give Jamie Olivier a run for he's money. Have just come from another wonderful week and planning to go back again next year
I disagree with this review because... it is not always the case that all is quiet and peaceful, depending on where your accomodation is it can be peaceful or noisy at night. If situated near the bar it can be noisy at night until the early hours. Elsewhere in the complex this should not be noticeable.

I Will Not Return Even Though I Have Been A Regula
I will not return even though I have been a regular for several years. It's not nice to be under watchful eyes all the time, and yes we always spent money at the hotel.
I disagree with this review because... we consider it rather harsh. We have previously stayed at the Almond on a B&B basis, but this year we went HB. Almond is only following good business practise and besides which the food and drink from the bar is not over priced.
I certainly do not agree to this review and find it unfair to the Almond as we stayed Self Catering and was spending much less at the bar then others BUT were NEVER treated any different to any of the other guests. The FEW rules we found were "universal hotel rules" which you tend to expect when going on holiday to a complex. We made lots of friends at Almond who preferred to stayed BB or HB, most were repeat and spoke very highly of Almond. We will definitely return.
I disagree with this review because we have stayed at the Almond a number of times, having only just returned and there is never a problem if you wish to buy and consume food and drink bought elsewhere in your appartment or on your balcony.
As far as I remember it does clearly state that you should not consume your own food or drink around the pool but this is only fair and no different to any other holiday complex.
We will continue to enjoy the delights of the Almond and in fact have already booked to return next June.

Just Arrived Back Home From Our 5th Stay At The Al
Just arrived back home from our 5th stay at the Almonds since its establishment 10 years ago and I must comment that this is the only complex we have known that improves its standards year by year - it only gets better each time! The family take pride in what they do and they certainly have got it right! We stayed BB, but you do have the choice to stay HB or SC ( so not sure if the below reviewer stayed at the same Almond, in Northern Cyprus, Kyrenia, Alsancak as we did?). We had lunches by the beautiful pool area and meals which were again served around the pool area regularly as the food was superb and so reasonable! But some days when we had too much at breakfast ( so much choice! ) we chose to have a light lunch on our balcony - this has never been a problem in all these years and certainly wasn't this year (again not sure if the below reviewer stayed at this particular resort?). We have booked again for 2009 and we are looking forward to it all ready!
My husband and I feel you were extremely lucky to have been allowed lunch on your balcony that was certainly not the case when we were there, it states quite clearly in the hotel handbook that this is not allowed unless in the very few family bungalows, we now know of other couples seen to be carrying bags to their poolside accomodation who have been challenged regarding this. I would urge other people to read carefully the new and not altogether courteous regulations that are both in the rooms on the wall and also in the book inside accomodation. These are rules brought in over the last two years.

It Now Seems To Be The Case That If You Are Drinke
It now seems to be the case that if you are drinker you are welcomed, Tea teetotallers appear to be treated differently, and any of the petty rules in force if broken people treated as if a major crime. Will not visit again.
I disagree with this review because we have also been coming to Almond many years ( 5 times since its estamblishment 10 years ago) and we have only noticed standards getting higher by the year. I totally agree with the Good Points! But do not agree with any of the bad points of comments. The "few rules" they have are general hotel rules which you expect when booking into a complex. And there were people staying self catering in the 2 bedroom SC bungalows when we were there so SC is definitely available for booking as well as BB or HB. We will not hesitate to recommend the exclusiveness of Almond and its hosts to anyone and come back ourselves - we have already booked for 2009 for the 6th time !

I agree with this review because...having spent many happy holidays the new rules in force have spoilt it. During our stay 8 couples said would not return which we agree with and have sent review on.

I disagree with this review because...as the previous review stated all ok if a drinker and in a position to spend endless money, if teatotal treatment is different and the petty rules are very off putting, we will not return as was said by 4 other couples whilst on holiday at almond and we too have spent several years at this resort.
