Traube Aumuller Hotel Rüdesheim

The only key element I liked was the staff at the Hotel,the rest was a nightmare.The room was at best a 1*,yes it had a view of the Rhine and also the railway tracks wich were 25 meters from the Hotel at most, on which Freight Trains (48 carriages long, Yes I Did count)swept past every ten minutes or so Day&Night which made it impossible to sleep.We could not walk around the bed without hitting our heads on the roof.The hotel staff gave us another room the next morning which was at the side of the hotel which was marginally better but still not 4*,2* at best.We where now 45Meters from the Railway track with the windows closed it was bearable but with no Air Conditioning the room was stuffy. So much for Traube Aumuller Hotel. The other time I Booked a 5* room in Lille in France for one night we got there after the boooking in time and told we had to wait for another hour and it was clear that we were not expected.The room when we got in was a box room with a Double bed which we had to push against the wall to get into it.We were too tired too complain at the time and it was only one night.By the way the staff at this hotel were completely disinterested.the Hotel I think was the "Mercure".
