We Are Returning To The " Dorada" For A Third Time
We are returning to the " Dorada" for a third time this year, not been for a couple of years, but save to say we have returned to a hotel/resort before except this one. Last time we had a bit of an upset with a childrens club rep but that was dealt with quickly and proffesionally. Always enough choice of food , the kids love it and WE as parents can relax knowig that the kids are all having a good time. Good transport links if you want to go out of resort and explore, I think everything else has been said, pity other hotels are not run as well as this one 10/10.

Just Got Back From Playa Dorada Hotel, And What An
Just got back from Playa Dorada Hotel, and what an amazing holiday it was.
All the staff are great, and the entertainment this year the most welcoming i've ever seen, treated you like they've known you for years! All inclusive is a great idea!
Seconds away from the beach, and safe enough for children to have a stroll around on their own.
Also some great local supermarkets, bars, and gift shops!
Can't wait to go back next year!

We have enjoyed the stay very much made friends with staff, fantastic entertainment for children and adults, and food is amazing what can I say, going back Aug 2009 and taking 2 families with us. Won't be dissappointed I assure you. Best hols I have had. I have been to a lot of places believe me, chilling holiday, main concern was things to do for the children 10 out of 10 for me.

We Have Travelled Abroad At Least Once Or Twice Ev
We have travelled abroad at least once or twice every year for the last 13 years and we were not disappointed here. We had booked it direct after visiting Cala Llonga 2 years ago when staying elsewhere on the Island. Calla Longa is beautiful and reasonably quiet - great for kids and safe to wander out and about on your own if you need to. Hotel was spotless and they cleaned constantly...even in the bar in the evenings someone was cleaning! Our rooms cleaned everyday except Monday and really friendly staff. Pool could have done with being heated though as was FREEZING end of May. Food was really good and service gets top marks. Had a great week and sorry to leave.

Overall The Playa Dorada Hotel Was Ok, Just. The A
Overall the Playa Dorada Hotel was OK, just. The all inclusive was a good idea. The kids could eat and drink whenever. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The beach was right beside the hotel and was very good but the town behind it was small and very quiet, it is called Cala Llonga, we called it Cala Shorta, we rate it 4/10.

What More Needs To Be Said. I Went To Playa Dorad
What more needs to be said. I went to Playa Dorada Hotel with my husband, brother in law, his fiancee and 2 year old. This was from the 23rd September - 30th September 2005.
Trip to the popular Hippy Market was a rip off... might as well go there by taxi, would find it cheaper and can stay there longer than 2 hours if need be (not that we wanted to). The hippy's CANNOT be haggled with and seemed miserable as hell, maybe having a bad day (?)
Yes the scenery was nice, but not much else to see... not many shops. Would recommend going to Santa Eulalia... that was nice, beautiful sea front.
This hotel has a lot of kids entertainment (for 3-5yr olds). Too many kids there, but if you fancy the same scenery, there is a Thomson Gold Hotel (no kids) just opposite. Seemed to be having a disco there nearly every night (from the lights we could see from there!)
So there you go, for every bad review you have many more which are good. But I personally would not recommend this hotel for young couples.
If you do go around this time, then be aware that when we were there it didn't get hot until about 11am every day, started very gloomy and breezy.

Playa Dorada Hotel: We Travelled As A Family
Playa Dorada Hotel:
We travelled as a family of six, two adults with two fourteen year old girls one twelve year old boy and a seven year old girl.
Our holiday started on the 20th of sept 2004 and we stayed for two weeks. The location was breath takingly beautiful. The hotel was large but had two lifts. A pool bar that served simple snacks, another restaurant that had an extended menu and a dining hall as we were half board, with a variety of dishes that were presented well.
All the staff were fantastic! especially the entertainment staff (Eva, Ego, Danny and Phil)
There are three pools with plenty of space for the sun beds.
The hotel was spotless.
All the kids want to know are we going back next year?..... YES if our purse stretches that far as we are trying to decorate our new house.

Playa Dorada Hotel Is Lovely And Set In A Beautifu
Playa Dorada Hotel is lovely and set in a beautiful bay- very scenic indeed. Your camera will be exhausted! Our room was adequate but a bit on the small side and, as it was July, we wish there had been air-con as we hardly slept at night.
The food was plentiful and good variety although the local beer and wine were a bit rough. (all-inclusive package).
We were a couple holidaying without kids and got a bit fed up with the constant kiddie entertainment but it must be a kid's paradise.
Cala Llonga has only a few bars and only one night club- a strange 'castle' type of affair that was virtually empty, even at 3am- and it was July! to find any decent nightlife we had to venture further a field by taxi, a costly exercise if done nightly. our favourite bar became the 'Mediteraneo' where we soon engaged in lots of playful banter with the Sheffield Wednesday mad owner (my partner being a devout sheff united fan!) a friendly little bar with good tunes and reasonably priced drinks.
To summarise:- we loved the resort and it was probably the prettiest place I've visited, but for a bit more going on at nights we'd most likely stay elsewhere on Ibiza, but would certainly return to cala llonga for a visit.
