I Love Ibiza As An Island And Have Previously Stay
I love Ibiza as an island and have previously stayed in Portinatx in the Hotel Presidente, so decided to give it a try on self catering apartments the Es Puet Blanc.Basic and dated but very clean and serviced every other day with towels changed, a good all over clean and beds made. Please do not attempt to stay here if you have children that need buggies, disabled people needing wheelchairs or any body with walking difficulties, there are 70 odd steps down to the bottom of the apartments and the resort as a whole is still dated so there are high kerbs unmade roads and cracks everywhere. Food at the restaurant underneath the apartments and owned by them is good quality and cheap, pool was filthy they admitted it had not be cleaned as the brother who cleaned it and was also the chef had a virus?? which meant it looked dirty. We didn't put our children in it or see anyone using it, which was a shame as there was a lovely terrace with sunbeds and fab views. Pool is very small I would say could take 10-20 absolute max and there are 16 apartments with 4 to an apartment that means at high season it could poss be filled with 64 people it would be like sharing a bath with the local rugby club. The staff is a family who have been there for years, no reception as such but they answered any questions we had. Studios ok for 2 adults one child max would be a squash for 4. ResortWhat I like about Portinatx is it has remained untouched by time, no McDonalds, discos loud music, touts, timeshare sellers or loads of tacky shops, the downside is there is one cashpoint 3 small supermarkets so except for basics forget about catering, and a small handful of bars/restaurants one of which everyone raves about is Del Boys, which is in a good position in the square, good entertainment but poor food. Sea is crystal clear views fab nothing to waste your money on and the beach is to die for however teenagers would be bored stiff by day 2 unless you want to chill sleep read or swim forget it - which we love !!Days outSanta Eulalia - Fab loads to do very beautiful loads of shopping and superb harbourPlaya d en Bossa -Best beach on the islandCala san Vincente - possibly one of the prettiest resorts and sea to die for Sant Miguel - Lovely beachTips Roses supermarlet - cheapest , cleanest and friendliest staff - top right corner of the squareCar Hire - Great deals great prices lovely Spanish chap running it, cant remember the name in the main square 2 doors down from Del BoysCashpoint - I only in the squareEntertainment for Kids - The Presidente Would I go again to the resort yes to the apartments no, they may be cheap and clean but thats it u get what u pay for 1/2 star max.
