First Thing That Springs To Mind Is Basil Fawlty.

First thing that springs to mind is Basil Fawlty. Too many rules and regulations written in a 'Fawlty Towers' genre. As it is a little remote they try to charge you exhorbitant prices for meals. The room rate of £85 is 'tops' but the situation of the hotel is great. Sorry the same cannot be said of the owners. You have to park your car on the road!. The car park for the hotel was boarded off, only for owners or special guests!!. I would look elsewhere for accommodation.

The Haweswater Hotel In Penrith Is A Substandard A

The Haweswater Hotel in Penrith is a substandard and overpriced hotel set in a wonderful location. Room 15 is a single room with a double bed stuffed in the corner, and the bed rattles against the wall if try to move (let alone anything else) on it. The bedroom was not serviced on the first morning. You can hear conversations in the adjoining room. Bedroom doors were excessively noisy. And there was always very little cold water, and sometimes none. You can get a B&B that is 100% better and at a lower cost!
