North Gower Hotel - Llanrhidian

The North Gower Hotel, Llanrhidian, Wales: All the staff at this hotel were extremely hard working and helpful. Our room was serviced to a very high standard - cups washed, bathroom supplies replaced, and everything left very clean each day. The beds were comfortable, the bed linen very good.

Food, served in the bar or the restaurant,is actually cooked by someone who knows what they are doing, and all our meals were really tasty and exceptionally good value - even the '2 for £8' deals were brilliant. Lovely deserts too, and some specials each day. The carvery on Sunday lunch & Thursday evening is brilliant.

Breakfast was a hot buffet on 2 days, and cooked to order on the last day. It kept us going all day, as there is cereal and juice to start as well.

The rooms at this hotel have not been refurbished in recent decades, so be warned if you are fussy about furnishing - they are not modern - but who comes to such a beautiful area to stay in their hotel room? The walls between the rooms are thin too, but thankfully everyone was nice and quiet. Free wi-fi is available, though we had to go into the bar to get a strong signal.

The hotel has a garage with a shop opposite, and another 2 pubs which do food, plus beautiful walks right on the doorstep.
