3rd August until 16th August 2011. Room Number 326 club armar hotel
This hotel has to be the worst hotel in turkey; I can’t believe there are any worse. When we arrived they didn’t have a room for us, we had to wait a day and a half to get a room. We paid £60 for a safe in our room we put in our own combination numbers within 2 days it had been opened and £300 taken, the only people with a master key that would override the combination were the reception staff. There was about five other incidents were residents had money taken from their safes. For those that didn’t have a safe in their rooms, there was a room next to the reception with safes in it; the people that hired these safes also had money taken. I tried to report this to the Police as did a few other people, we had people that could speak both English and Turkish but the Police would not us to use these people as translators, we had to use someone from the Police Station and this would cost us 70 lira each .
The rooms were dirty, the beds were falling to bits, and the whole place is dangerous. While I was there my daughter cut her leg after tripping on raise tiles in the swimming area others broke legs and arms. Live wires hanging out of the wall and ground, the fire escape were boarded up so it couldn’t be use, and gas cylinders were stored under the fire escape, a vine with a truck about 4” across that had grown up over 30 foot collapsed and just missed a person on the sun beds. This was then tied up with string and a day later cut back and retied. In the bar there are two drink dispensers these were for apple and peach. While I was waiting for a drink I had a disagreement with the bar man who was filling the up with water fro the tap and not drinking water! The food is no better then slops in fact my dogs eat better food then we were served. Food left over from the previous night’s dinner was served up for breakfast the following day. The pool had to be closed one day as a light broke in the pool and they were afraid the wiring would cause the pool to become live. anyone who likes this hotel must have a very low standard of what is good The wild life in Turkey is wonderful there is quite a bit around the pool and some even share your rooms with you . If I put down all the faults it would be classed as book and not a review
If I can give you one piece of advice this is it please don’t stay here

The People Writing All These Reviews Have Been Sta
The people writing all these reviews have been staying at another hotel i think! The hotel was lovey and very good for the money! It was clean, tidy and very nice! The rooms are lovely we were so surprised as we were set for the worst!... The food was abit hit and miss, somedays nice other days not.. and the Alchol was watered down dramatically but hey you have money with you so no big deal it was nice meeting the locals anyway instead of being in the hotel all night! Watch out for the 2 bars on the complex though a cafe and Hells boys kitchen bar as these arnt all inclusive but do excellent turkish nights! Dont worry about the reviews i was mortified and tried to cancel untill my friend talked me round and i am so glad i went and will be returning next year!

Our Room At Club Armar Was Clean ,corridor Outside
Our room at Club Armar was clean ,corridor outside was like a dark tunnel ,it was a struggle to se the lock to open door of room ,none of the staff understood english, apart fromthe catering manager.the food was not of turkish standard im afraid, we have been to turkey 20 times and its always a pleasure, tastless meat, powdered milk, nothing to eat ,quit e unpresentable, cooked meat chicken was placed over uncooked meat, freshly cooked food was mixed with cold food, and any uneaten bread ,etc was put aside to go on aplate to e put back out for another customer. it seemed the hotel made it hard to eat the inclusive food so you would pay for acceptable food
and if you compain they say do not understand, and see your rep. they had a n answear to every thing .

At First Entry In The Club Armar Hotel, We Were No
at first entry in the Club Armar hotel, we were not welcomed in at all, the guy at the reception was very strict, he just gave us our key, kept our passports, we were left on our own to find the room, once we finally found our room, my 3 girls were very tired as it was 2a.m in the morning, they just wanted to sleep in their beds, but there were no bed quilts, and the guy at the reception failed to tell us how to turn on the lights. my husband went downstairs furious
the food got a bit boring, as like the reveiws there was always chicken, fish full of teeny tiny bones and rice, no way did i see any sort of traditional turkish style food, we got so fed up we ate out at a non tourist town, where there were only tukish people and the food was absolutely delicious ,anyway
we felt everything was typical british style at the hotel, even the staff would go out their way to please the british, just because we were muslims the staff must have only approached us 2 times for the 2 weeks that we were there, even the tea and coffee were in british style vending machines machines, i am a british born muslim, i see all british culture in england i didnt pay to see all this in turkey, so i dont understand why you british lot are complaining. surely this hotel get visitors from all over the world spending thousands of pounds to come to turkey, so everyone should be treated equally
before going on holiday, i read many of the reveiws and it sort of put us off, but nothing could be done as we had already booked.
i understand that there is good and bad everywhere you go, so what the heck
We Booked The Club Armar Hotel In Mamaris Expectin
We booked the Club Armar hotel in Mamaris expecting a 4* resort. It's on the main road, and there were no children's activities, and no kids pool. Advertised with an A La Carte restaurant, which is a local bar around the corner. Has an outdoor and indoor pool, but they were both dirty! The food is diabolical, and the restaurant is like a canteen. Table cloths were filthy and stained. The carpets in the hotel are ripped and in desperate need of replacement. A very expensive hotel. Met many English people there this August (06) who all complained about the awful service and state of the hotel.
