Outrageous
June 2012 I joined a special survey tour www.motorbikethailand.com were offering at a reduced rate and I experienced far more than I was expecting. The tour was put together with 6 other riders during the Monsoon season to search for new routes and to test out some new bikes. Although this was not a standard tour, if their normal tours are this good I will be back for another ride with them as the value and adventure is spot on.
The tour was advertised for experienced off road riders and my long time experience was pushed to the edge at times and this was exactly what I wanted. A great crowd of riders, excellent fun on and off the bikes. Tip: Their website understates everything..Expect to get far more than they state and go with an open mind, you will love it.
Have already recommended to my friends my facebook photos are getting quite popular hahaha! Brilliant!

Brilliant From Start To Finish
I am a very experienced off road motorcyclist and have previously ridden with motorbike tour companies (off Road) in many countries around the world. I chose Motorbike Thailand because they advertised the tour I was joining as only suitable for very experienced off road riders and into very remote regions, this was what I wanted and this was what I got! The trails they took us on far exceeded my expectations and to be honest I wasn't really expecting what I actually got, I never realized this type of riding was available in Thailand!
I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for exceptional riding but don't over pack your bag as I did. Best night was on top the mountain with the hill people and the Barbecue evening so close to the borders edge was awesome. Thanks for a memorable ride guys.

Thanks Andy, What A Great Adventure. The Best Road
Thanks Andy, what a great Adventure. The best roads ever, right through to Jungle Single Tracks crossing rivers as you go. Staying with Hill Tribes (10/10), in remote lodges and town hotels, awesome! Andy knows all the Trails, People and Places he even speaks the lingo. I couldn't recommend the Dual Terrain Tour enough, if you want to experience Thailand and it's culture on a Motorbike, Andy's the man. Not forgetting the best day on the river bordering Burma, another 10 - See you next year

We Went On An Offroad Tour With Andy And Ec (motor
we went on an offroad tour with Andy and Ec (Motorbike Thailand) from the 19th to the 26th of August. Myself and Michel are living n Hk and we met up with Colin and glen who are in UAE and hit ot off almost imediately. I must admit I was a bit apprehensive having had a grand total of mototrbiking experience of a few holidays renting a scooter and about 6 hours on an mx track. As andy said at the start each day would be more challenging than the last and he was certainly true to his word. Every sinlge day was more challengng then the last culminating in us having lunch with representatives of the Sham army 1500m up a mountain. I must admit at that point Andy almost had a rebellion on his hands as both Colin and I thought we would never get out of the place. Not because of the Shan but because the road was hilly and consisted of a foot of mud on top of clay and we could barely stay upright going down the hills let alone up. Needless to say we all made it out with a few falls here and there.
I have to say the trip was exceptional and i will definatelly be back next year. The bikes and accomodation were both great along with the camaradery between all the guys. One of the expetional aspects of the week was that Andy really made an effort to teach, particulalry Michel and I how to ride a bike properly both on and off the road. I will always take insperation from his "get you r f**in feet on the pegs when im next sliding down a hill of mud on a bike.
cheers guys for a great week

We Joined A Tour (19 To 26th July 10) Booked By 2
we joined a tour (19 to 26th July 10) booked by 2 guys from UAE; did not know what to expect.
from day one: it all clicked to become an experience of a lifetime. I did read reviews and it seemed to be what I wanted: it turns out to be a success way beyond my expectations: the organization, the quality of the bikes, the "tailored" tours through the most exciting trails. Andy told us he would bring us beyond what we thought were our limits: he did it every day. but at all time we felt safe under the guidance of Andy and Eck who always appeared as the angel keeping an eye on us!
what more to say than: we'll be back next year for more (10 days) and have added 2 good friends we will do more with. Only positive things to say!

The Pub Philosopher's Tour 2010 (colin, Glenn, Mar
The Pub Philosopher's Tour 2010 (Colin, Glenn, Mark and Michelle the Frenchman!)
Had an absolute blast on the 6 day, duel terrain, tour with Motorbike Thailand. Had our limits thoroughly explored and often breached! (All in a controlled and comfortable manner, I hasten to add!) The local knowledge of Andy and our legendary guide, Eak, was invaluable. We went to places not many tourists had ever gone before! (SSA Forever!) We were incredibly proud, if slightly muddy, pioneers! Starting at a reasonable hour every morning, we managed to finish in plenty of time to make it to the pub's/bar's/club's/people's front room etc, for our evening rehydration! Never had a bad day's riding, Thailand was stunning and did no disappoint on any level! The little Kwak's served us well, despite trying every possible terrain!! Thank you Motorbike Thailand, will probably see you again sometime!

- We Were On A Three Day Motorbike Thailand Tour (
- We were on a three day Motorbike Thailand tour (we were definitely beginner off road riders).
- From the moment Andy picked us up from the airport we knew we were in good hands.
- Andy's knowledge of routes and on-the-fly route planning was really impressive. He tailored the tour route to suit our riding experience and style.
- Andy and Brian looked after us the entire time - they went above and beyond what we were expecting. Top marks to both the guides.
- Andy always took the time to teach us and help us. He really helped our riding style (which needed a lot of improvement). He was incredibly patient.
- The roads were immense. Huge fun.
- The bikes were extremely well maintained and were attended to throughout the tour.
- The accommodation was all good quality and also reasonable.
- Andy was one of the best guides we have ever had - on any type of tour.
- We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Motorbike Thailand to riders of all experience levels. His tours are absolutely great. Once our riding has improved we would love to go back on a longer tour.
- It is very rare that I would give full marks to a tour - but this one gets it without question.

I Did The Mae Son Hong Loop Dual Terrain Tour Over
I did the Mae Son Hong Loop dual terrain tour over Christmas 2009.
Booking the tour was real easy and was able to talk to the guys directly to arrange the dates and everything else. After that everything went like clockwork, was met at the airport, taken to accommodation, where the bikes were ready and waiting to start the tour the next day.
The tour was a fantastic experience which I enjoyed from start to finish. The riding was superb, the Mae Hong Son road is the best u will ride, there are just no straight bits at all!!!.......great fun. The off roading was tough at first as I didnt have much experience, but u soon pick it up and is a great challenge/fun. Some of the places we went to off road were fantastic, into little villages which u would never normally get to, and in some cases wouldn't be able to get to if u weren't on the bikes.
These tours really will get u off the beaten track and make u feel like ur on Long way Round/Down!! Andy (the tour guide) has a great knowledge of the area and seems to know nearly every dirt track there is. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a tour with these guys, was a great experience all round.

I Was On A Dual Terrain Trip And Had A Fantastic T
I was on a dual terrain trip and had a fantastic time. Andy did a great job of gauging our abilities (which thankfully improved whilst we were there) and adjusting the route accordingly. In fact there was a sense of 'let's go this way, it looks fun' which I approve of. I know it doesn't sound good, but I have a picture looking out over the border river as my desktop...
