Claims Are A Joke
I had a uti on holiday. Came back with all my receipts and full prescription. A month later I received an email asking for copies of my booking, copies of Bank statements showing I had paid for the holiday. They also wanted a copy of my card details were I paid the dr, I paid cash. I already sent these in with the initial claim. This was after I had spent 3hrs on the phone to 2 different claim handlers to be told I had to do it all on line. Shocking don't touch.

Helpful, Efficient, Good Listener
I was able to speak to a ‘real’ person quickly, a clear speaker with excellent listening skills, with a real smile in her voice. She dealt with amendments to my holiday insurance efficiently. After setting aside half an hour of my day to get this sorted, it only took 5 minutes. Wonderful. Thank you.

Dreadful service, been waiting over 2 months for the claim now which was accepted but they told us that that are struggling to find us the same laptop, why not just get a similar one rather than not bothering to get me a replacement have been promised to get a call back twice and got no phonecall, and ignored my last emails via complaints. I sent an email saying I'm going to ombudsman if there is no response with a plan for my replacement laptop within 2 weeks and guess what, did not get a reply! Please avoid, all good reviews are mainly from people who have never had to make a claim. I will be taking legal action if there is no response very soon this has affected me a lot I am doing an online masters and really needed my laptop in these last month's as I'm writing up my dissertation and it has affected my overall course. No transparency, no people willing to help or come to a resolution for claims. Changing your waiting times online to 55 days is not an acceptable response this is not in the travel insurance cover terms and conditions if I had known it would be this long and this much hassle then I would not have took it out from your company. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Seemed Great Until I Had To Make A Claim
My holiday was cancelled in March due to the COVID epidemic. In the event of a claim, you are referred to the intermediary insurance company and they are the CEGA Group.
CEGA then ask AXA (the underwriters) to look at your case and they will decide if they will allow a claim to be paid out, or not (this is the normal procedure).
in short, I booked a holiday with some friends this year, but I am unable to go with them at the same time next year.
The hotel did offer me a voucher for next year in 2021 (to use within a limited 2 month period), and Cover For You, CEGA and AXA say that I have been fully reimbursed because of the offer of the voucher. They do not care that I would have to go on holiday alone. A Senior Claims Adviser said that as per AXA's decision they class a voucher as full compensation. I explained to Cover For You and the CEGA Group why I did not want to accept a voucher, they said that they sympathised, then told me there was nothing they could do and that I could still use the voucher. I was advised by the senior claims adviser to try going though my tour operator/travel agent to seek compensation if I was not happy with the voucher. This was really unhelpful, as she knew I had booked the hotel directly.
After writing back to appeal the decision, my case was reviewed and a final decision was
made by a customer service representative at CEGA. Her response was to reiterate
that the voucher is classed by CEGA as full compensation...case closed.
It is unfair to expect someone to holiday alone, especially at the moment. I also explained that I was a nurse caring for COVID patients and know that a second wave of the virus is a real possibility in the winter season. I frankly do not not want to take the risk of booking any holiday at the moment- particularly on my own. Nor do I trust or have confidence that CEGA would help me if I had to cancel the holiday for a second time, if I was stranded alone etc. I would rather leave it until I feel safe to do so and can go with my friends. I also explained that caring for COVID patients makes me a higher risk of spreading the virus to other people etc, This voucher really is totally unsuitable for my personal situation, yet CEGA have shown zero compassion, care or understanding. I actually cannot believe or grasp how totally heartless they have all been. I am also really disappointed in Cover For You too, as they have simply backed CEGA's position and at no point have they communicated with me that they will try to help.
I feel duped and am highly disappointed. I have now taken the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
I will never use or trust the CEGA Group or Cover For You ever again.
Please check out CEGA Group on Trust Pilot before considering purchasing your travel insurance through Travel For You, because this is who you will be insured with! They have a 76% bad rating and 5% poor...which says it all.

this lot will only pay back 50% of cost of insurance while the pandemic is happening , they will refer it / move it forward to another date only if you have booked another holiday , as we all know thats impossible at this time , profiteering from the virus unbelievable

Worst travel insurance company to date I’ve encountered . So far impossible to contact or obtain clear information. Telephone contact not achieved . Reply stating the only do cover repair warranty !!!! No idea what this meant .
I paid for multi trip travel insurance annual including medical winter sports & cruise . Very bizarre.
Had cancelled hotels , additional flights to pay due to COVID 19 and border closures they won’t help at all .
Looks like this it mend up at least a few Thousand out of pocket. Beware bandits
May still chase em through courts if necessary

Insurance For Fortune Tellers
I was ill for one night of trip and not allowed on flight. Helped by kind people at airport. Booked one nights accommodation and rebooked flight for no cost. Medical certificates obtained.
Company will not cover accommodation because I did not have original accommodation booking? Also because I stayed with family before I had no previous accommodation booked.
So no good unless you don't stay with family or friends and also know exactly when you are going to get ill.

I Would Not Use This Company Again
I had no problems with CoverForYou until I tried to make a claim on my policy, my experience has been awful. I am unfortunately having to deal with Righpath who manage any claims against the policy on behalf of CoverForYou. They lack basic medical knowledge and their management of claims is substandard, resulting in a valid claim (backed by medical evidence) being refused. I am now going through the stages of their complaints process and anticipate I shall have to take my case to the ombudsman to get a satisfactory resolution. I would not use this company again.

You Get What You Pay For - Not Much
You get what you pay for - which in our case was dumb obstruction in the face of a simple claim for travel delay. Cover for You refused our claim basically by arguing that the very clear wording of their policy wasn't what they meant to say. A trip to the Ombudsman was needed to make them pay up. I wonder what would have happened with a claim for something important like medical expenses...

Worst Travel Insurance Ever
I took out a policy for a recent ski trip. I contacted cover for you via email to let them know I had an accident where I broke a crown, they did not respond. When I returned home I contacted coverforyou straight away to let them know of the incident and the fact that I didnt have time left to get this issue corrected abroad. The staff very very unhelpful and immediately said that I wouldnt be covered as I had not sought treatment abroad despite the fact that a) I had contacted them b) I didnt have time to rectify abroad. This service is below adequate (I even took the most expensive level of cover), avoid this service at all costs.
