Beware!!
I have to agree with other reviewers (MikeCox368, Colin734, 1965sa,Fitzpatrickdn1963) that this company is not too be trusted
I applied for a loan and they agreed to the amount required.
Up front during the call they explained the APR, the repayments and that there were no upfront or hidden charges.
I was sent a contract which I read and as my credit rating is low they requested that I pay the first installment up front - which I agreed to.
I signed the Contract and returned it.
There is no mention of a requirement for PPI anywhere in the document and as we are all too aware PPI is a customer option - you are not obliged to take it - particularly in view of the miss-selling scandal
Having accepted my first payment they then proceeded to ask me to pay for PPI as a single payment of £249.99. I objected to this as;
1. It was not mentioned in the contract
2. PPI is a voluntary arrangement
At this point the Agent told me that if I paid the £249.99 they would immediately pay it back to me when they transferred the loan funds.
I refused again on the grounds of if they are going to give me the money straight back why do I need to give it to them in the first place and - potentially have to pay interest on it.
It was like banging my head on a brick wall so as I am comfortably inside the 14 day cooling off period that I wasn't going to go ahead and asked for my money back.
When it comes to chasing me for payment and commitments it will be interesting to see how fast they are at returning my money.
This company may or may not be good once you have completed all their processing but they definitely do mislead, omit information and I feel that I personally cannot trust them and I would advise this to anybody who ever asked me about them.
Report them I just have for the same kind of situation as you. Have received no money back from them. Report them to Action Fraud. They will investigate. Also beware they are taking money out of peoples accounts under other names. Check your bank and close the account if needs be.
I wish to extend this sorry tale further. Having cancelled my loan over 2 weeks ago i have been given a continual run-around about getting the money paid back into my account.
1. I was told at the time 22/7 that my details would be passed to the Cancellations Department.
2. On the 23/7 (am) I was told that the Cancellations Dept. was really busy (not a good sign for anyone in or out of the company).
3. On 23/7 (pm) I cut out the "Account Manager" and spoke directly to the Cancellations Dept. and was told my money would be repaid in 24-48 hours.
4. I left it more than 48 hours and phoned them on the 25/7 to be told (contrary to my call on 23/7 that my payment had not been cleared by the Cancellations Department. and to call them back on Monday.
5. I called them back the Monday and was told everything was now cleared and payment would be made in 24-48hours.
6. I phoned on 30/7 and they seemed to ignore my mobile. So I phoned again on a land-line and got an instant answer. After more waffle from the "Account Manager" I asked to be passed to the Cancellations Department. This time I was told the money would be in my account after 3pm. I duly looked and it wasn't.
7. I gave them a day's grace and phoned again today 1/8 and once again my mobile was ignored so I switched to a land-line and got through straight away again (clearly they are ignoring calls from my mobile). I got through and asked to speak to the Cancellations Dept. who promptly ignored my call for over ten minutes so I hung up.
8. I phoned an hour later - on a different land-line and got straight through - and spoke to the "Account Manager" who said that the delay was from the PPI department WTF!!!!! - I hadn't taken out PPI, it was the reason I cancelled the loan - who were blocking payment. I got somewhat annoyed and the "Account Manager" promised to look into it and email me and phone me back 2 hours later.
9 Four hours later - I have heard and received nothing - no surprise there.
I will continue to badger theses people and report there abysmal service on here and other places until they pay up and improve their behaviour.
The next step will be reporting them to the Financial Ombudsman

hiya yes im having same problems only they are putting money in my account and asking me to transfer it back due to i need to pay 489.00 before i get my loan yet they are paying for the 489.00 i have been dealing with someone who is from the accounts department in gorleston great yarmouth ????
I have done more research into this - I eventually got hold of the Owner\Director of Loan Machine. I do owe the company an apology. They have been targeted by some people who are using their identity and forged paperwork and target people seeking loans by purporting to be the Loan machine. He has reported them to the Police and Fraud Action but as he is not actually losing any money (none of it goes to Loan Machine) only reputation and potential loss of business there is not a lot the Police have been able to do.
I have also contacted Fraud Action - and via them the Police to report this. I have given them the contact phone number and the "names" (probably false) and possible nationality of the people I spoke to as well as details of the bank account they used to take my money.
I strongly suggest that you contact Fraud Action as well - the more people and the more details - the better the chance of catching these people.
They also recognise the phone numbers that you use and start to ignore them when you try to call. However because of their greed they will take calls from a different number - hence I was able to speak to them more than I might otherwise have been able to.
Sadly the chances of seeing any of your money (or me seeing mine) are minimal to zero - unless they are caught. I only hope that you didn't pay them too much.
As I say make a note of all details they have given to you (phone numbers, email, bank accounts, names used) and report them - they could well be operating off-shore but the phone number is in the UK and it's in the Stevenage area code so it physically exists and they are greedy so the faster you act (plus anyone else you know that has been stung in the same way) then the bettter the chance of results
I have had the same problems I am awaiting my refund and keep being told someone will call me back they never do!
Now they keep hanging up on me!

In my opinion loans really help and the availability to all groups of people is a big help in getting out of tight spots.
