Yes some songs are dodgy, yes some woman on it are prostitutes but if you use your common sense you'll find that it is a good free dating site as long as you're not a creep. Once you finally get it downloaded not only do you find music its a dating site. People that aren't who they say they are and People trying to get money out you. It download takes over your computer with virus' and you have to delete it and run virus protection.. This is bad new..

it is not "tottaly free"and it is not easy to use with ipods

I have tried bearshare on several computers in the past, and had problems each time. It took over my machine on each occasion. Dont use it, you will be sorry.

BEARSHARE FREE MUSIC DOWNLOADS - NOT!!!!!!Oh dear!!! I can only imagine that all the reviewers on the other sites must either be employed by or some relation of a BearShare employee. After extensive internet research, I concluded that with the demise of Napster, the "next best option" would be to download BearShare. How wrong can one man be???!!! Other reviewers assured me that there would be no issues, i.e. no compromise of download speed or conflictiions with other programmes. It transpires that this was all lies and false propaganda. Installing this programme somehow transported me back in time because the next thing I knew; my brand spanking new laptop instantly became a Sinclaire ZX81!!!! If I tried to run other programmes simultaneously, it was incredibly slow and everytime I rebooted my system, my search engine automatically switched to BearShare, even though I had specifically denied the programme permission to do so!!!! Avoid it like the plague or download it at your peril

This software is far too intrusive. After installing it did the following to my computer - changed the home page to bearshare.com in all browers, installed a bear share media tool bar in all web browsers, added icons to the desktop, taskbar and start menu even though I specified not to when installing. BEarshare also autostarts when you boot up the system (you don't have any choice about this) and you can't shut it down other than forcing a shutdown through task manager. After un-installing my home page is still set to bearshare, the bearshare tool bar is still installed into the web browser and none of the icons have been removed. Had to get rid of them all manually and re-install firefox to get rid of the toolbar.

I have no idea whether it's any good as a file sharing/media download piece of software as I got too annoyed with it meddling with my computer before I had chance to start using it.

On further research I discovered that the bearshare toolbar it installs into ALL your webbrowsers that you can't get rid of is classified as spyware. Well dodgy, steer clear of this.

I tried bear share through a friend for a free trial period and you can download music for free and make music CD's right from bearshare thats pretty neat.

After my trial period I cant find another product for 7.95 a month bear share is trust worthy it's fun making your own music. Well recommend Bearshare.com

I think this is one of the greatest music download and video sites, its very fast to navigate to and download music and even movie downloads, well recommend BearShare!
