I really like my iPhone, but I have been put off owning another one by the glitch-ridden, difficult to use, and just plain irritating iTunes. I've found it particularly difficult importing music and then organising it in any meaningful way on the phone's truly awful interface. Intuitive it is not.

I don't know why Apple didn't think about addressing the issues they have with iTunes in their recent iOS updates, but they didn't. A bit of a mystery to me as in many other ways they have improved the speed and usability of the phones, without improving iTunes one jot.

iTunes and Apples products have always been a favorite of mine. I like the quality of the products and how organized the music is on my itunes. However, when I bought my iPod & iPhone, after loading music onto them... I moved and had to sell my pc etc. When I got to South Africa, I could not access my iPod / iPhone with my new pc. The music on these devices are now stuck on them. I can't even add them to my new pc without losing / syncing - which neither I want to do. I just want to transfer the music and info from these devices to my new pc so that I can re-organize my music on my pc and not lose anything. Having to go to an Apple store is a nightmare... they are in major malls and too far from me. Also, every time you go to these stores, you have to wait for hours before being assisted, because they are so busy. iTunes should just allow you to store all music on a cloud or something, so that you can retrieve the information again at a later stage. Funny, but this won't stop me from utilizing iTunes / Apple :) Just love the brand!

it is a great way to store your music ,but i cant find it very easily anymore . this update has ruined my itunes and taken away the best parts of the software . the worst part is that it is almost impposible to go back to the itunes 10 versions (that worked perfectly well ) apple has turned for the worse and is no better than crapy old microsoft .i am so diappointed i am in the prosses of looking for alternatives to itunes for my macbook .oh and it will not sync ipod / iphone ect . it keeps stopping .i wish i had know just how basic and useless itues update was going to be . the fact is there are 6/7 features missing and nothing new ??? i feel like ive been kicked in the teeth . obviously itunes software died with steve jobs . RIP apple . sad times

Unfortunately the latest update appears to be case of changing something for the sake of it. The interface is not very appealing, cover flow appears to be gone, very little new features and even less that are of any real use.

Faster, simpler, slicker are all things that software developers should aim for, but there is fine line before it becomes too light weight, featureless and rough looking.

It's a bit sad to see all gaffs that Apple appear to be making of late whilst Google & Samsung seem be improving greatly. I am sure someone somewhere is turning in his grave !

I really do enjoy Apples products - from my early iPod, my Apple TV and my iPhone - I couldn't be happier with their products.

However, the one REALLY annoying part of the Apple eco-system is that iTunes.

I've never 'got it' - I find it really unintuitive and generally hard work to do backups, restores etc via iTunes.

I was hoping that I could do everything in the cloud with the new iCloud, however, you can't backup things like videos (which is the main reason I want to do a backup) so that's out of the window.

I really wish they'd get some better software and/or set it up so that you can opt out of iTunes and use something different - its the one thing that is holding me back from going all Apple with my hardware.

Come on Apple, sort it out! Or am I the only person that has a problem with iTunes?

The latest version is a complete disaster, takes up to 10 minutes to load and even then not always sure it will. There is simply no point trying to use it so my ipod is now nearly obsolete. I use Windows 7 64 bit version. Tried 10 time s reinstalling before I got it to work (if loading in 10 minutes is working). The inteernet is full of similar stories so APPLE get it right next time please or loose a customer.

£20 x 15 (£300) taken from my account fraudulently... absolutely impossible to get in touch with anyone at iTunes- complete waste of time. Luckily my bank refunded the money and took it up with Apple. Great at sales, but disgraceful customer service when things go wrong

Not Overly Impressed. Music choice not brilliant. Definitely not user friendly. Writing a review is hopeless if you need to edit (completely wipes your previous comments off so you have to start again). Burning to CD is OK, but instructions confusing. There are far easier and better sites available
